Having played a bucketload of AV this weekend, I've run into some skilled players of all classes. Running with 4 shammies as I do for PvP nothing scares me, but skilled players of certain classes can be an annoyance. I dont want to give away trade secrets, but I thought it would be interesting to see what people thought were the best counters and what has worked against you, and for a laugh the worst. The most pesky classes I've found are well played Druids, rogues and well geared holy/disc priests. I'll get the ball rolling with a few:
Paladin
Holy:
- Clever: Mash head against keyboard as all my lovely buffs dissapear, as well as 70% of health, bubble, HoJ lead shammy, run and try to find someone to heal, maybe they'll pick on that person instead of me.
- Dumb: Run into the group, consecrate, Holy Shock (eaten by totems). Die I even have the chance to bubble.
Ret:
- Clever: Repentence on lead, run.
- Dumb: Pop avenging wrath, die.
Prot:
- Clever: Avenger's shield the group, blessing of freedom, run.
- Dumb: See holy.
Warrior:
Arms:
- Clever: The tremor totem is your #1 target, not the group. Take it out, fear, try to take the lead down.
- Dumb: Dismount, charge the whole group standing in their totem farm, blow up dead.
Fury:
- Clever: Take out the tremor/s, piercing howl, intervene to friendly player, run.
- Dumb: See arms.
Prot:
- Clever: Time a spell reflect to co-incide with a chain lightning volley.
- Dumb: See arms.
