Not to sure if this will work or not, but worth a shot.
- Insert first CD in for BC
- Whatever window comes up just x out of it (close it)
- open My Computer
- open the drive where the BC CD is
- locate the file autorun.exe, or setup.exe
- right click the file and select to run as an administrator
Proceed as normal. At 98% my guess is that is trying to write some shortcuts to a common folder and like you said it doesn't have permissions.
And by the way, I am running Vista 64 ;)

well wow definately works with vista 64 bit. I have only installed it using the new DVDs they come in so i can't comment on the old CDs. Becareful with vista 64, i have been having some issues when it comes to certain applications.
Btw what kind of computer did you get? and did you do all the window updates prior to installing? and also did you install SP1 for vista 64?
Hey spannna you from winnipeg man? So am I, where abouts bro? I am near Transcona

Just to throw my 2c in. I am using Vista 64 bit ultimate with sp1 and am having no issues with WOW at all. It does sound like a folder permission issue or the like
