Corsair vengeance, one broken g-key

I was able to experiment with ahk and this is definitely a key issue not an isboxer one.

This is one of the non-mechanical keys, the programmable gkeys.

It is registering presses if I place my finger on the right side of the key but not if it is sitting on the left, even though it "feels" like a real press either way. Not sure the age of my vengeance but I don't want to put her out to pasture just yet. Any suggestions that might fix it? it doesn't feel any different from the other keys. I assume I pop it off?

If the key uses a rubber dome, then it could just be dirty, resulting in bad/inconsistent contact, and a quick cleaning could fix it. However, cleaning it probably requires you to disassemble the entire thing.

pops off two keys. dear god what is that. how old is this keyboard? removes the pieces of.... whatever and thoroughly cleans the area with compressed air and a firm makeup brush.


Not perfect but we're at about 9 registers per 10 presses rather than half and half, so for now we'll call it a win!

I've decided to call the pieces of whatever "crumbs"
