So I currently have an i7 2700 and one gtx580. I'm looking to upgrade to bleeding edge, but I have a couple questions.
Intel is currently on a "tock" cycle right now? So next year in the first half they should be bringing out new CPUs. However, all i've read is that they will consume less power. I assume they will also be more powerful?

Also nVidia just released the 690, so I was wondering when their next cycle of cards come through?

I want to upgrade for my 10 accounts setup, but i'm willing to wait if Intel and nVidia have some good shit coming at the beginning of next year.

I will agree that the current upgrade path is minor "tock" read http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ivy-bridge-benchmark-core-i7-3770k,3181-24.html 3-4% for $500 for the 3700k

4GB GTX685 is rumored for Q3 2012 release, so probably Oct. Might want to wait for that. Or you can build your rig with an old card, and get 685 once it's released. With that said, personally, I think using 2 PCs + Input director will >>>> any solo machine can bring for 10 boxing. (with the same budget of cuz)

I didn't realize that cpu was such a small upgrade. Yikes, hopefully 6 cores will make up for it in boxing? Oh and I was wrong, technically this is a "tick".
