I just hit revered with the tillers in MoP last night and was able to plant the seeds that give trade skill mats when you harvest the next day. looks like each plant makes from 2-4 of said trade skill mat each day. at exalted you will have 16 slots to plant stuff in. so not bad to get some free ore or herbs or what ever you want.

also in most videos it seems you have to loot a mob pile at least 2 times.. Hell, the aoe loot is awesome, but why not doing it right the first time.. ;)

I ran through there twice and that happened both times. I'm guessing the BoP blue item from the boss caused it. I'll test it out some more later today.

I'd also like to say that SM is... not as exciting as it used to be for boosting. Scarlet Halls is very linear and Cathedral (merged with Graveyard) doesn't have as many mobs nor can you have Morgraine pull the entire instance (he resets at the Cathedral entrance).

More information on that XP Elixir if anyone didn't already know:


Drops from Krol the Blade (a rare elite in Dread Wastes), lvl 90 with 4 million hp.
The tooltip now states it's maximum level of 84
When used on a level 90 it gives the error text of 'Target is too high level'.

The experience it gives you seems to be interacting strangely on my deathknight, but below is an example of the exp gain on a low level character.

At level 42, with rested exp:
Mob kill: 462 experience (+231 Rested bonus) without the elixir, and 1848 experience (+924 Rested bonus) with it. (+700%)
Quest: 4350 experience without the elixir, and 17,400 experience with it. (+300%)

At level 42, with rested exp, with 35% heirlooms:
Mob kill: 624 experience (+312 Rested bonus) without the elixir (+35%), and 2010 experience (+1005 Rested bonus) with it. (+770%)
Quest: 5872 experience without the elixir (+35%), and 18,922 experience with it. (+335%)

At level 42, with rested exp, with 35% heirlooms, fast track 10%:
Mob kill: 670 experience (+312 Rested bonus) without the elixir (+45%), and 2056 experience (+1028 Rested bonus) with it. (+790%)
Quest: 6308 experience without the elixir (+45%), and 19,358 experience with it. (+345%)

From the test you can see that the exp gain from armor, elixir, rested, and guild should all stack.
Note, that I've listed the exp increase as '+790%' as thats how the item tooltip lists the increase.
This is of course the same as 890% total (900% with the pirate ring).In the latest patch this item is now bound to account so sadly there will no longer be a market for it on the AH.

I think it's safe to say it'll still be fairly heavily camped though.
It is still consumed on use.

If you are running multiple boxes like me, the directory is TempMig for the 6G download off your World of Warcraft directory. I DL'ed once and copied it to my other machines which satisfied their background downloaders.

How much 'phasing' is there in MoP? (sorry have only read from page 15 onwards). Part of me hopes that there is none, part of me likes the way they use it to progress the 'story' behind the zones (also nice tool to avoid gankers when herbing/mining on PvP servers).

Lots and lots and lots and lots.

No really its "not" as bad as before but there is still a lot in some zones are a nightmare.

Most is npc's that change come and go without changeing the zone as such just make sure all your chars do the quest if not u could be locked out from quests/chains.

phasing happens in org next the bossess room now its a nightmare. the sw keep has the same prob as well but nothing for many to worry about as u nerver go there.


phasing happons each time u enter/leave a cross realm zone. you chars will resync after u leave/enter the zone.

I remember reading from blue post (lost the link), that reputation tabards will be removed, or at least there won't be new ones, in MoP. Blizzard wants you to go out questing if you wish to gain reputation with the factions.

yep sure does sure does. i hate ptr/beta follow atm. (though there is some extra bugs. but even when there was not its nothing new sill a nightmare in some zones (Mosley round the new city is prob the worse. but its to do with the mount training zone.)

Maybe its because I am Australian so my MS is a little higher but when my main toon runs through a phase the other 4 end up going straight through. If the biggest problem is things like cities why not just use jamba auto follow?

I sit at about 9-40ms pings to Magtheridon and my guys would break follow _every_ time on a phase transition. The only difference I ever noticed was how busy the server was, which would determine how long it took them to "see" the phase change boundary and break follow, which determined how far apart the alts would be if I were turning when moving across the boundary.

By this time they all see each other and I can press my follow key and keep on going. I only lose a bit of time but yea, is still as annoying as hell.

And with us losing HGWT, this is something we will have to live with, maybe I will use flight paths more now, I shall see.

This is what I do as well. After awhile , you know where the zone lines are.. i turn on broadcasting and hit "W" until they are all through and then hit follow.

The way phaseing works is it moves you zones/servers even though u do not see it going on your UI it does infact move you to a def part off the game/server even if you was on a 0ms ping your chars would still phase out and rephase in after u rejoin that zone/phase. its really cool tech but as your chars in fact are not next to you for x secs follow is going to go on us :(

The time it takes follow to rejoin back up is going to go on your ping/serverload


In other news: today the 14/Aug should give us a date when 5.0.x will be live on servers my bet is next week 21st Aug 2012.

Please be aware that with the release of the pre-expansion 5.0.4 patch on Wednesday, August 29, all raid lockouts will be reset. This means that you will not be able to extend a raid lockout beyond the week before the patch release.

Should be everything except the Pandaren race, the Monk class, Pandaria, and Pet Battles.

Yes everything that's on the PTR now. list is a few changes

AOE loot
weekly call to arms bg's
cross realm
battle tag support
many chars changes and new talents
Boa Pets/mounts/achievements
Guilds changes. (bye bye Hgwt)
No guild xp/rep caps
Conquest gear to honor no cap on honor points
World Event: Attack on Theramore Isle (probs 2 weeks after the patch)
PvP gear changes on all 85 gear now has 2 sets of stats EG crt and haste + pvp resi and pvp power. + brace resi of 30% on all chars
Glyph system has been updated (probs going to need a lot of new ones)
Character creation screens have been updated. (see my video somewhere about that a lot easier to make chars look the same)

Absolutely love this, from what I've seen. For peeps who do lots of boosting, this is gonna make them even richer... I don't even want to think about how much cloth I left behind in pre-cata Scholo... ugh!

So I tried to test the bnet wide achievements thing and I don't think that HK totals are Bnet wide. I think they are account only. All tallied up I should have around 70k HKs, but when I logged in a transferred character I only saw 10k :(

edit: Oh and F U Blizzard for launching 5.0.4 on GW2 launch date. I know your reasons but they frustrate the hell out of me. I wish someone could line up their launch towards the end of a WoW expansion so I'm not fucking bored out of my mind. If GW2 had moved up to July release I'm sure 5.0.4 would drop that same day. It's a business decision, but I feel like it fucks the customer over that want to play both. Thank god GW2 doesn't have as nasty of a gear grind.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. AoE loot is going to be awesome for finishing up my boosting before MoP, but the loss of HGWT is going to force me to just grind dungeons instead of hopping between them and getting the extra xp boost from the quests... Ugh...

How close are you to finishing up your boosting? Do you have the 2 man mount? You can fly 2 characters to a summoning stone to summon the rest of your team.

I want to level two more groups to 80 (Pallies and Mages), the Pallies are below level 10 and I haven't rolled the mages yet, so I've got awhile to go. My RAF expires October 12th, so I've got some time still, but I'd like to get those two done before MoP lands.

Can't remember if I gave it to the DK I boost with or not, but I do have a 2 man mount from my previous RAF leveling, so I should get it on the DK after 5.0.4 drops w/ accountwide mounts. Seems like that's a pretty good solution for me.

Unfortunately, I had taken the time to park alts at every one of the instances and would HGWT them instantly, then summon the DK with the stone, so there was almost no travel downtime. This will slow things down a bit, but not terribly.

there no such thing is account/battle.net the game does not understand what a game licence is. there noway you can test this as you can only log in ptr/bata once and the servers do not share info from the live data base server.

You need to copy all your live chars to the Ptr. What happens on the ptr stay on the ptr. The PTR does not link/read to the live data base servers in anyway so it can not read the char from your account information. All that happens is a copy of that only one char. + the live servers does not tech that links the stuff anyway.

You will only be able to engage in pet battles on one wow account at a time when multiple accounts are attached to one b.net account. The other have access to their pets, but not to battling.

Pets will still be merged on MoP launch, but instead of placing them in your bags or mail they will be placed directly in your pet journal. You will be allowed to have more than 500 and 3x per pet during this process. Any pets that are flagged as unique will be merged into one and also placed in your journal. (Unique pets are from Achievements, Pet Store, Promotions and Guild) You will be able to cage any pets that are tradeable and you can release anything that you have more than one of.

A few examples:

A B.net account has a total of 6 Wolvar Pups across all of it's characters. On merge the B.net account would have 6 Wolvar Pups. This would be the only time an account is allowed to have more than 3x of a single pet.

A B.net account has a total of 3 Murky's from BlizzCon 2005 and 4 Nuts from the pet collection achievements across all of it's characters. (both unique pets) On merge the B.net account will have 1 Murky and 1 Nuts.Hope that helps clear things up

Any word on whether the cross-realm invite problem with the same BNET account is fixed in 5.0.4? I was planning to wait until 8/28 to experiment with it, but I am finding my team/account planning to be extremely complex since my team is split across 2 realms. Not having to transfer a bunch of toons around would simplify this quite a bit.

Ugh this pissed me off. They made it sound like you could roll Pandaren on August 28th, but later they clarified that. So really what was the point of that post? I and everyone else already has ALL races available. WTF!

I can't recall in previous xpacs when the xp reductions came in, was it the pre-launch patch or the xpac launch? Those new sub-85 amounts are really nice to see while I still have 5 teams left to get from 81-85 and would like to do so before launch.

No, there is no Blizzard source yet, but the change was just made with one of the latest beta builds. Why would they bother to lower the experience needed to level so late in the beta if they had no intention of making it live? And when have they not nerfed prior expansion experience when a new one was released?

The announcement on lowering XP needed for Wrath came out after 4.0.1 was already on live servers and about 3 weeks before Cata (4.0.3a) actually went live - http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/11/18/wrath-experience-needed-to-level-reduced-by-20/

Yeah, I was thinking it should go live with 5.0 along with removal of guild xp cap but couldn't remember back to Cata or Lich launches. So pretty much should only have to level one more team under the old xp rates and then have the last 4 under the new....hoping anyway as that would mean I'll def have all classes at 85 in time for MoP if that's the situation

The New Xp's caps are a Pain that's for sure........ taking a good time questing now and bring made a lot more to go go down chain roads of quest can not skip them like i could before with the locks.

For people that have only bought wow vanilla or BC, they can roll worgen/goblins now too. This is for people who are just starting out and dont want to buy every single xpac before trying out the game a bit.

I just have a few toons doing the run through Northrend (started last night, should be there in the next few days, and then will have one full team of 5 to get to 85 before Sept. 25!

No, there is no Blizzard confirmation as of right now; but the experience numbers were just recently changed on the beta.

Neither of the resultant currencies (Justice and Honor) will have an enforced hard-cap at this time.



The current Arena season will end.
Players will no longer be able to earn Valor or Conquest points (bosses will drop Justice, Arenas will be closed).
Items formerly purchasable for Valor/Conquest will be available for Justice/Honor.


With Mists of Pandaria on September 25


Valor can be earned again.

Characters can earn up to 1000 Valor per week, and carry a maximum of 3000 Valor.
Daily quests, random Scenarios, random Heroic dungeons, and all levels of raiding will reward Valor.
Valor will be used to purchase ilvl 489 gear in Mists of Pandaria.

The Klaxxi (http://www.wowdb.com/factions/1337-the-klaxxi), Golden Lotus (http://www.wowdb.com/factions/1269-golden-lotus), Shado-Pan (http://www.wowdb.com/factions/1270-shado-pan), and August Celestials (http://www.wowdb.com/factions/1341-the-august-celestials) factions will sell this gear.
Revered reputation with each faction will be required.





Conquest will become earnable.

There is a cap of 4000 Conquest points.
Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds reward Conquest.
It will be used to purchase ilvl 483 gear (http://www.wowdb.com/items?filter-search=Malevolent+Gladiator's) from Pandaren battlemasters (http://www.wowdb.com/npcs/65165-doris-chiltonius) on the Great Wall.




With Mists of Pandaria, Patch 5.1


We currently plan to upgrade the Valor system as Ghostcrawler described in Mists of Pandaria Looting Explained (http://blue.mmo-champion.com/topic/219630-dev-watercooler-mists-of-pandaria-looting-explained/) in the 5.1 patch, allowing you to upgrade your gear using Valor points. We’ll have additional information once Mists of Pandaria launches and we get closer to the 5.1 patch release.

With no JP cap after August 28th, are people going to be grinding as much JP as possible before going into MOP?

I've read that the JP gear will actually have a lower iLvl value then what drops in the heroic dungeons :rolleyes: As per this link:

You won't be able to farm up a massive amount of points for MoP. The caps are going to be re-enabled and anything over the cap will be converted to money. It will be at 35 silver per point. This is what is happening to honour points anyway, I assume it will be the same for Justice

I have quested through 2 zones so far with my monks. there are plenty of collection quests BUT>>> so far every one of the kill these to get this item quest, the item drops for everyone. The only ones you have to do on each toon are the click on item to collect.

No, there is no Blizzard confirmation as of right now; but the experience numbers were just recently changed on the beta.

beta and ptr are using the build is a Release Candidate marked now. again no text blue but 85-90 has been changed again so they might off changed 80-85 again.


89-90 is now 27.5m from 32.8m.

what is on beta/ptr should go though live though so if it does not change u get the xp changes next patch like in bc to wotlk patch and cata

Something to be excited about until the count down for MOP, since Im kinda idle and not doing a hell of alot in game anymore atm.

How many of you levelling x5 in mop straight off on release ?

I'm still going with my 4 hunters and 1 druid, straight off, to level, then herb too make mass darkmoon cards x3, as 3 of 4 hunters have inscripting, though Im thinking of dropping skinning off druid and adding inscripting on there as well, or just leave it as is, and when I level 2nd team, there are some more inscripting on others.

I think collection quests are super easy in MoP.

Imagine a quest requiring like 5 items off mobs. Kill 100 mobs at one go, right click them all with your main, which will pick only 5 quest items.. then click the pile on 2nd toon, and he will get 5 quest items on one click.. (if the 100 mob pile have 10+ quest items) and so on.. ;)

I read somewhere that crowded zones would be phased (think about the pandaren zone), I don't know if it's going to be released and/or helpful at MoP in terms of lag ! Moreover, someone on the forum seems to have experienced quite softer collection quests as those items would be availaible to all of the characters in the group at each kill (like in some low-lvl collection quests I remember) ! I wish that'll make us forget what a pain Cataclysm quests are !

What I read is that if there are too few people in a zone then it will be "phased" to consolidate everyone. If there are too many people in a zone, nothing happens.

Currently every quest hand-in, no matter how small, is giving 60k guild xp....even level 1 quest hand-ins, I just made 3% of guild level 3 doing Northshire Abbey quests on one character from level 1-5. Given we now have the 11th slot available I'd say for anyone wanting to level their guild and might be capped on the caracters they want to get to 85 before MoP it might be worth making batches of throwaway teams in the 11th slot and just leveling them from like 1-15, deleteing and restarting for some really quick, easy guild leveling.

Wow! Not only do these low level quests give crazy guild exp, but Blizz has changed all the collections that you loot from mobs to be looted by all in the group! Not sure if its for all zones but at least in the starter zones this is the case. What a huge score for multi-toon leveling!

This is HUGE! It always boggled my mind that blizz made a multi player game, but made it HARDER to quest in a group for a lot of quests...

Combine this change with AoE Looting, and boxers of the future will be like "what's all the fuss about collection quests? Those are the easiest!"

I was under the impression that if you have a spell that is on the global cooldown the macro will stop there (I assume that lightning bolt is on the gcd wowhead is to slow today).

You need a two step macro

Step One: /cast Lava Burst
Step Two: /cast Lightning Bolt

If you spam that you will get the result you wish.

Performance is really bad with the patch, my fps is horrible now with all my video settings low and even turning off sound. And I can't figure out why I can't keep my team together in org. Is there some kind of phasing in org now? I am seeing it if I go toward the drag from the main AH. Also, with auras gone, is crusader aura passive now or is it gone altogether? I know I can't keep my team following me with crusader on normally.

Also, macaroon (bar mod) is dead now so all my tons of boxing setup is gone. It is almost going to be too much work to start over. I haven't played in forever and I was going to come back for the expansion but this is crazy.

Ion doesn't save any existing config though. You still have to start over. I am going to try and get it all recreated but not until I sort out the performance and /follow issues.

Also, I got a Blood DK macro that is stuck on Heart Strike all the time, I removed HS from the macro and now it works perfectly. I saw somebody else mention this on the forums as well.

Edit: did some performance tests with the following setup:
3 instances at low settings (except viewing distance and particle density)
1 instance at medium settings,
these 4 characters are standing around idle in a quiet area of IF, capped at 15 FPS.

Used the fifth instance for testing. Without addons (all slots) and medium settings I get around 15 ish FPS on the AH square in SW. These 5 instances where launched by ISBoxer. If I manually start the fifth instance, and let the other 4 running. I can set the settings all the way up to Ultra with 30fps on the AH square, no hickups.

Anybody else having this issue?

I tried:

/cast crusader strike
/cast consecration

And ya SOMETIMES if you spam fast enough consecration does go off, under my understanding consecration should never ever fire because once a macro hits a spell with a normal gcd it stops after executing that spell.

It must take advantage of some kind of glitch in the client to server communications or something. I dont think this is reliable enough that you would want to say as a general rule you can write macros that use two spells with normal gcd and it will ignor the one which is on cool down.

If thats the case why did merc even bother with two step macros? Then why did anyone complain when /castrandom no longer only picked spells that were not on cool down?

two monitors with 1 guy on one and 4 on the other, no addons, background windows capped at 15, all video settings on low, sound disabled, and the main window is pretty much unusable in org. was fine before patch

Game runs on Dx11 for me... think it was on Dx9 before.

No addons 4 clients running (only 1 in a city) with high settings on all I get 65 in starting area (though i'm not sure why it is 65... i never uncapped my FPS) and 30 on one running around the city and it goes down to like 10 if i go near the AH... No ISBOXER running.

With only 1 copy of the game running I hit 41 FPS in the busy areas.

Seriously WTF did blizzard do? I could run 1 on ultra and 4 on high and maintain 60 FPS on main screen in citys...

Having FPS issues is not unexpected with large content patches, especially if they've changed the graphics engine (which they slightly did). I'm sure things are a lot smoother than they would have been had Blizzard not had so many people in the beta like they did.

For any tech related issues, it's best that you double check the actual WoW tech support forums to see if people are also experiencing the same issues. Do note, that if you give Blizzard a crash report or something like that, it'll probably show a multiboxing program in the list and they'll tell you that you'll need to remove that program from the mix until they cannot assist with any FPS issues.

You can't just roll up into Blizzard's house like Rick James yelling about how your shit's broken and then proceed to get their white couch all dirty with your muddy shoes.

Ebony posted in IRC last night that there is indeed phasing going on in Org, notable the entire area around the Zep towers, outside the front gate and someplace else. She had a lovely pic, but I didin't save the link, sorry.

You'll also phase when you move off the ground. VERY ANNOYING.

Yes, Crusader is Passive now, but it only effects the Paladin. It is called Heart of the Crusader. Also VERY ANNOYING.

I was so excited to finally have my entire team on Headless Horseman's Mounts, but between the loss of Crusader Aura and all the stupid in-city phasing, it looks like I'm going to be forced to use the 2-passenger RAF rockets since there's no mounted speed boosts that work for toons over level 70. *glare*

Well, not all but the ones that don't are rare. The JC daily Elemental Goo (http://www.wowhead.com/quest=25162) doesn't drop the items for everyone, so I'm guessing if it's marked "Not Sharable" then the drops won't be for everyone.

To add to the guild exp boost, they removed the daily cap on guild exp. You can blast away on quests to get caught up to L25 real fast.

Edit: In regards to Org phasing. If you log out on your mount while on the ground, then you will log in flying a few feet in the air. I noticed the phasing flying around doing dailies in Org. Very long delay for quest givers to show up once you flew to them.

The 175 is guild rep (they removed the weekly rep limits as well). You need to look in the guild tab to see how each quest effects it.

Just mouse over your guild exp bar in the guild tool. There is no daily limit calculated right now. Normal guild rep was about 50 per quest and guild exp was 17k per quest. So they ~tripled the gains for each quest.

I was referring to the 60k for a quest hand in. I do agree the extra XP with no cap is real nice though

Not sure why you're not seeing it but I double checked on a level one and a level 81 last night and even the breadcrumb hand-in's like the very first guy in Northshire, or Oomla/Thisalee in Hjyal would give 60k guild xp and ~175 guild rep
