Hi,

i play 5 Mages (Level 16 now) and i want to do the Ini in Ogrimmar.

But i have a problem with my toon.

When i pull 2 or 3 monsters, i only get one down until they arrieved at my group.

Then i use Icenova (dont know the name in english, i mean the spell which freezes the monsters around you).
Then i step back.

And here is the problem.
My toons follow me.

But i dont want them to follow me. I want them to look in the direction of the monster so they can use the spells to make damage.

And if the monster runs to the backside of my toons, i want them to turn around automticly.

Is that possible? Or what do you suggest to do?
Or what can i do that i dont have the problem that my toons cant see the monsters so often...?

I watched the video with the Level 62 Mages, and i realy have no clue how this works.
They bring me down in seconds...:-(

Or is the Dungeon to hard for Level 16/17?

Thanks for helping!
Joerg

Are you using follow strobe or just follow? You shouldn't use follow strobing in combat because it messes up facing.

There is no way to make your slaves "auto face" a target. You will need to either use something like focus lens macos, use interact with target followed by a backstep, or manually turn them...or make them all follow and reposition, which is probably the worst option.

Finally, you will want to create and use a set of keys that allow movement for the whole team. This is usually the arrow keys. This way, when you press arrow down, all of your toons move backwards.

I'd post links but I'm on my phone. Just do a search for "focus lens macro", "slave movement", "slave facing".

As far as difficulty, higher level mages have a lot better gear, more practice and more abilities to use. Running all dps as a pve multiboxing group is not exactly a "starter group". The people who have done it are probably on Their umpteenth team and using heirlooms. That's not to say give up or don't bother, but be aware that it's not the setup most people would advise you start with. You may find things a lot easier with a more standard group makeup until you have a better grasp of what you can do.

With "more standard" you mean a Tank, Healer, and 3 DPS?

I think that not so easy, Tank has to hold agro, Heal have to heal the toons with damage, DPS has to du damage...:-)

Puh, that are very much things to do...;-)

Can you post a Screenshot of your "follow-settings" in Jamba please?

Instances are designed for tank+healer+3DPS. Overcoming that makeup is something that requires more effort than working within that makeup.

Tanks have a spammable "rotation" just like DPS does. It's just different spells. Even healers can be set up with a spammable rotation for "hands off" healing if you plan ahead and know your group. With all DPS, you still have to manage agro and avoid damage, via CC or movement or some other distraction {like pets, mirror image, earth elemental, kiting...}. Even using tank+4DPS can reduce the number of issues you will have.

As I said and is shown in other groups, 5 DPS can be done. It's been done with all sorts of classes. But a vast majority of those people started with a standard Tank+ group to learn how to multibox before moving into experimenting. There's a lot of things that you learn while multiboxing that you won't see right away. I've been boxing for over 3 years in various different games and I'm always finding new things that I need to consider and places where I fail miserably.

Multiboxing beyond simply slaughtering in a quest area is always a lot of things to manage. That's part of the challenge. A lot of multiboxing is theorycrafting, planning, experimenting, failing and starting over until you figure out what works for you. That's true of any kind of group. I can't even count how many different team makeups and specs I went through before I found a group I loved to play.

I am not currently subscribed to WoW, so I have no screenshots of my Jamba follow settings. The only time I use Jamba's Follow Strobing is when I am mounted, which I call in my mount macro on my main

/use Traveler's Tundra Mammoth; [swimming] Abyssal Seahorse; [flyable] Headless Horseman's Mount; Headless Horseman's Mount
/dismount
/script VehicleExit()
/jamba-follow strobeonme slave

Otherwise I use normal follow

/jamba-team invite
/click [nomounted] SmartBuff_KeyButton
/jamba-follow strobeoff all

/cast Avenger's Shield
/cast Hand of Reckoning
/startattack
/jamba-follow master melee

More times than I can count.
