Hey guys,
I've been reading this forum for like months now and can actually say I love it! =P
I started multiboxing like 2 months ago now. First I leveled 3 chars to 60 with RAF, but after that I wanted something more, so I started 5-boxing. After a lot of research I started my new Team Italia!
You can see in my signature but I'll write it down anyways:
Tank - Death Knight (or paladin, my other char)
Healer - Priest
DPS - Druid
DPS - Shaman
DPS - Warlock
I made this team because of the variation. It probly isn't the easiest team but if I can make it work, this team has it all! =P
Loot -> Plate, Mail, Leather, Cloth (hit), Cloth (no hit)
Buffs -> A LOT :p
Xtra -> 3 rezzers (4 with the paladin), 1 Soulstone, Healthstones, Summons
Ok, that was a small explanation of my team (I've added it for those who want an example setup and why it's good ;) )
But now, i've never played a warlock untill 80 or tbh, beyond level 30 :p and the same thing goes for a DK or Pala.
But I like the challenge and want some new stuff so :-)
So my questions for you guys (yes I'm finally asking the damn questions :p)
- What spec should i use on the lock? I'm not interested in letting the pet tank, so pure dps and with a spec that's easy to handle with multiboxing.
- What spec should my priest be? Holy is more for focused healing I heard and Discipline is more for group healing? Not sure which is best for my multiboxing group..
- What type of macro's have the most advantages? Those with /target focus or /assist focus? I've read a lot about both, but just can't seem to see which one is best for PvE (instances)
I've done some research with on some macro's for my team, but i'll post them in the next post because that's not the most important part of this post :-)
Thanks in advance guys!

The macro's I found on the internet:
They probly need some fine tuning to fit my team, but it's just a general overview:
WARLOCK:
/Castsequence reset=target Curse of Agony, Corruption, Immolate, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Corruption, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt,
/castsequence reset=target shadow bolt, haunt, unstable affliction, curse of agony, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, haunt, shadow bolt, life tap, unstable affliction, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, shadow bolt, haunt, shadow bolt, curse of agony, unstable affliction, life tap, shadow bolt
DRUID:
/assist Focus
/cast [nostance] Moonkin Form
/castsequence [stance:5] reset=target Moonfire, Wrath,Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath,
Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath,Wrath, Wrath, Wrath,Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath
/assist Focus
/cast [nostance] Moonkin Form
/castsequence [stance:5] reset=target Insect Swarm, Moonfire, Starfire,
Starfire, Starfire, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath, Wrath
SHAMAN:
/assist Focus
/castsequence reset=target Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Lightning Bolt,
Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst, Lightning Bolt,
Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt
/castsequence reset=5 Water Shield, Flametongue Weapon
PRIEST:
/cast [help,exists][target=mouseover,help,exists][target=player] Flash Heal
Healing will probly be done with healbot, but I'm not sure on how to set this up with keyclone yet.. If any1 knows a good thread with some information about this, please, feel free to post that!
Thx in advance!
Ciao!

I think a lot of folks use Affliction for their locks, but I chose Destruction. For me, it was easier to macro. I can't log in to paste mine here but my lock is basically a Shadow Bolt machine with Chaos Bolt thrown in when CD is up. I can Immolate, Conflag and those other fun fire talents on boss fights using a separate key. The main trouble with Destro is that +hit can retard you if you raid or even in heroics.
What I did for my priest was spec discipline and dps with him. Until you hit heroics you won't really need a holy specced priest and then after you get him some gear you will feel compelled to spec him back. I specced shadow for a while but I had trouble getting him out of the cellar on dps. I use a separate key for healing. It lets me drop shields (I am specced shield heavy) and Pain Suppression and light heals. I can Greater Heal with another button or I used to have a modifier in my main heal button for it (Shift+J for Greater Heal).
There are some good posts here about a druid macro that using concurrent /castsequence macros. With it you can use Insect Swarm and some other talents.
There are loads of macros for tanks here and a butt load of shaman macros.
3 of your 5 are viable healing options even not specced as healers. I would make an emergency heal button for all of them, in case your priest dies or goes oom.
Edit: I LIE! I found his in a text doc on my desktop :/
#showtooltip
/use 13
/use 14
/castsequence [target=target,harm,nodead][target=raid1target,harm,nodead][target=party1target,harm,nodead] reset=target Chaos Bolt, Immolate, Conflagrate, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, Shadow Bolt, IncinerateThis is what I just switched to after 70 with much success. Curse of the Elements is your friend also, but I have it set on my 'pull' key.
Edit 2: As for targeting, I used to use /cast [target=focustarget] exclusively and I still feel like I have the most control with a focus targeting system (as in I lose my target less on my alts) but I switched to what is listed above because I can 5 man, 10 man and solo with each toon this way. For wanding or any channeling spell (like Mind Flay) /assist party1 or /target [target=party1target] is a good idea because those spells can be funky if the casting toon doesn't have a target selected.

Hey,
Thx a lot for the fast and detailed reply!
Like you said, I'm probably gonna discipline spec my priest so he can dps, and when needed all my other chars that are capable of healing, can throw in a heal.
Also very nice macro you posted, this is something to really keep in mind when I'm gonna raid with them too!
Another thing i was wondering is: If you use castsequence, and you press the button like 10 time in a second or something, does it go to the next one in the sequence every time you press it, or does it wait until the spell is ready to be used, and then go to the next spell?
Thx in advance, and thx again for your decent reply!

IMHO, I would choose a mage over a warlock. Intellect boost, portals, food, water, relatively simple CC if needed, and likely an easier class to macro in a mixed group since there isn't a pet. Warlock healthstones probably won't be very useful except in situations where all your toons consume them at once.

Regarding castsequence, it will continue trying to cast whatever spell it is stuck on until it is successful or the reset condition is met. One point of confusion is the reset timer is actually the amount of time since the castsequence has been called. So if you put it at 10 seconds, then you must wait 10 seconds before that castsequence will start from the beginning.

Hey,
thx for the reply! very helpful!
but i think i'm gonna stick with a lock in my group because i already have a lvl 70 mage on my main account, and don't really like him that much anymore.. and a lock would be a nice change :-)
but like you said, healthstones might not be that interesting, but the summons + soulstone then again are for sure. Portals won't be a big issue because HS on a 30min timer and HS = dalaran with portals. So i'm not too worried about that
The only thing i'm trying to figure out is a good macro for all of my chars because of the new change in 3.2.. it didn't get any easier :p

SHAMAN:
/assist Focus
/castsequence reset=target Flame Shock, Lava Burst, Lightning Bolt,
Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lava Burst, Lightning Bolt,
Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt, Lightning Bolt
/castsequence reset=5 Water Shield, Flametongue Weapon
I understand that casting Flametongue Weapon every time you do water shield would keep it up guaranteed, but wouldn't it be a waste of mana? Does anyone else do it this way?

I do this macro also. Its nice because reset is 5 sec so if I need flametogue I hit the button twice. Otherwise I only hit it once to recieve WS. Reset is fast and its not like you need to spam WS anyways.

That's true, I guess I'll try it out. It'll take a button out of my bars.
And WS costs nothing, so it's not like it'll hurt when you do need FT
