Hi, in this thread I am going to post some of my thumb rules (notes to self), in hopes you guys won't have to find them out the hard way. Feel free to post your own thumb rules and/or evaluate mine.

Over the days that I have been using keyclone I started to notice that there are some important things you have to pay attention too. This is might be more geared towards tank & healer groups, but it can be usefull for about anything.

#1: AOE=BAD - AOE has claimed the life of my preist millions of times, am I now starting to learn to keep him out of the battle, AOE or not. If you end up getting caught in a fight with an "AOE'r" I suggest you make a marco that moves you and your slaves out of harms way.

#2 PvP for Preist? - If you plan on PvPing do not pick a preist! They are the most squishy thing in WoW history. Everytime I encounter a Hordie, I pop a Power Word: Shield, in hopes of that it will last untill the debuff goes down, which usually doesnt work out so hot. However, if you have a nice setup (or really good at alt-tabing, and I use a multiplexer, to clear things up) you can easily survive for about 10 more seconds then usuall. :cursing:.

#3 Questing in STV - I run a disc priest and a ret pali, this dou is very good for leveling in my perspective. And sofar the levels have flown by, however, since I figured this was the next best thing to Chuck Norris I thought I'd have a little "Kurzan Action". (Mobs found east of Rebel Camp). WARNING: Do not pull mobs with alot of the healers (The men in the dresses). They can heal as many times as they want unlike the other healer npcs I've encountered (1-2 heals per fight). Not only is it an OP heal but it comes along with and OP renew spell. /ignore big pulls of these NPC's unless you pack along a higher level.

Any Grammer mistakes, please post or message me and I'll get it cleaned up.

Note: These are my opinoins on things, please respect that.

Note: I will add more as I come along them, this thread might shed light on the darker areas of multi-boxing.

WARNING: These notes are discoveries of a "noob to multiboxing"

or really good at alt-tabing

.. alt-tabbing? are you not using a multiplexer like Keyclone, Octopus or whatever?

Also, do not judge your healer based on your experiences at lvl 30, there is no correlation between what you do at 30 and what you can do at 80.

<-Using a multiplexer

And the alt-tabbing part came from what I use to do when running my friends accounts through dungeons, It was suppose to be a funny side comment...

Maybe someone should move this to newbie help and information. This is pretty simple advice and should be marked as such.

Glad to see new people here though =)

running my friends accounts

If this means what I think it means... don't do that :)

Everytime I post something on a forum I always get miss in miss interpetated. Im not logging ONTO my friends accounts Mono its just them on their account, and me on mine. Nothing bannable.

Some new notes to self.

4# Professions - Before you create multiboxing toons concider this. Do you wan't to level fast? Or do you wan't to take your time and level up your professions while leveling? Some porfessions don't take alot of time such as the gathering ones, (Mining, skinning, herbilism). It is smart to pick 1(+ skinning if you wish) on your master character. Professions are kind of like collection quests, you have to do it x(number of characters). It drastically slowed down my /played time.

5# The Puberty Level - Whats this? My definition of it is when a class starts to rape (kick @$$). For me, at level 40 I've noticed that I can take bigger groups and hit 800-1000 dmg crits, overall I can just take more stuff faster. It all has to do with talents, I suggest anyone new to speccing to put all of your talents in one tree. Therefor you won't have to wait for the level 40 spell due to spreaded out points. After that you can just stick with your tree or spread out into other ones.

6# Friends in High Places - Have some real life friends, or good friends that play WoW and have high level characters? Time to get your just deserts. Taking advantage of their level means you level faster, and when you level faster you are happy :D. Thanks to my close friends, Bewolf and Xevik. Leveling has increased sevenfold.

7# Dedicated Healer - When wanting to solo things much easier it is smart to have a dedicated healer. It may slow down soloing a certain mob (depending if your dual or multi boxing) but I'd rather be safe then sorry.

8# Melee Fun - Want to multibox melee? Simply go to interface>Mouse>Click to move (Smart or Locked whatever you like). Then go into keybindings and make a key for interact with target under targeting functions. For fun in PvP spam this key and you will circle around your target as if he is being attacked by a pack of wolves. Its confuses your enemy and its halarous to watch for both sides. :P Rogues ftw? (video coming soon)
