So I'm pretty new to dual boxing and loving the community around here. I've toyed with a few ideas and the one I've got now, I'd like some input on.
I can only run 2 at a time. Only 1 machine and 2 accounts. I've tried 3 (using a friends account), and it just doesn't really become enjoyable since my system is being dragged down. I'm fine with this.
So, for the moment 2's the tops for me.
Things I've tried:
Shammy (main) / Druid (slave)
--I wanted to run the shammy as main since totems, to me, become a bit of an upkeep. I can easily click rotation macros and such. I figured the druid would be restro / balance and the shammy was elemental.
I got them both to 11 and decided to try something else. Yes, I know, 11 isn't that high to make a decision. I'm just trying to get a feel for it all right now before I really decide what to level.
Shadow Priest (main) / Holy Priest (slave):
Granted, they're both at 11 as well and it's not like there's any separation in duties. However I know it's likely to be a pain to get groups later on. Which, brings me to my next thought...
I have a 70 warrior tank and at times it can be a chore to tank as a warrior. There's a lot to do and it's fairly conditional. Plus, I'd just like to try a different tanking.
So, I was thinking Druid / Druid, Paladin / Paladin, or Paladin (Druid) / Priest?
What do you think would be the best 5 man (or even 10 man) dual boxing tanking pair? And by best, I really just mean the "easiest" learning curve and maybe "least" to keep up with.
I'd personally love to do druid / druid because I've always wanted to level druids. However, with all the shape shifting, I'm not exactly sure how I'd pull it off. Or well, how easily it'd be to pull off. I could just be psyching myself out too. I'd also love the HoTs instead of relying on straight single heal hits.
I'm also trying to keep with the same class (druid / druid or pally / pally) because then I can see what debuffs others have and act on them on the healer.
Which brings me to another thought. Which is easier to do in the background, tanking or healing? I've been running with my healer in the background and it's gone pretty well so far. Again, I'm taking into account that the projects I've tried, I've only gotten to 11.
So.. sorry about the wall of text. Just trying to get some ideas.
