Lets see if this can be the end all be all thread for slowbies like me that multi-box for fun and/or get distracted too often to really level.

So here we are with a confirmed date and confirmed lowered leveling requirements. For all of us that are trying to maximize their time and are habitual alt-a-holics, here is what I forsee as the preferred way to spend your time:
All Conditions - Log in once a day and slang your gear, do your dailies, make gold, rtff: http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/wrath/faq.xml Toons < 55. Go ahead and level them. If you want a death knight, your toon must be >= lvl 55. If you are full of character slots, pick the one you want to delete to make room for your deathknight from one of these toons.
55 < Toons < 60. Go ahead and level them to 60 in pre-BC content. You get the max return of XP per hour up to 60 in pre-BC content and save easy quests for later in Outlands. 60 < Toons < 68. Go ahead and level them if you want immediate day 1 WOLK fun. Patch 3.0 will speed up 60-70 leveling so you will be "wasting" time if you don't plan to hit 70 by then, so hold off a bit. WOLK starts at 68, flying mounts are not usable/unlockable until level 77...I would suggest doing what you need to get an epic land mount.
68 < Toons < 70. Up to you, I would say the ability to do dailies and perhaps have an unlockable epic flying mount would be worthy goals.I personally have a few 70s and have ~10k gold via the old "Dust and Shard the AH" method and my shammy team is 62. I think I will continue to grind gold on AH and bang out a few levels while deciding what to do as I just got back in to the fun of it after getting my accounts Scroll of Resurrected. I may just call it quits for a bit on this team and start up another team or catch up some dusty alts or start up some RAFs...awe shit maybe i'll just deposit a few hundred bucks in to WAMU and see what happens.

Isn't patch 3.0 speeding up lvling 60-70?

I am sure I missed content in the *little* reading and talking I have done, but I am pretty sure I read that as well, although the patch release date has not been confirmed as of yet.

10th October imo will be the day we are playing patch 3.0

That's my opinion mind you lol, I called it in August sometime. Now with wotlk coming out 13th/nov (pending no set-backs), and with the past showing us we get about a month of the new patch before xpac release, that date is looking pretty good :)

I don't see why anyone would stop playing the game because WotLK comes out...if you're that bored of the game you should have quit a long time ago. I will keep leveling my shamans to 70, whether 3.0 will speed it up or not doesn't matter to me. Once I hit 70 I will try to at least get some pvp gear and pve gear before the release of WotLK and maybe try to save up for my epic mounts x 5. I'd rather not be doing that in wrath.

Wrath quest rewards give you enough money to save up for epic flyers for each char whether you want to save your money or not lol.

i'm just going to try and get my 2 mages and 2 druids to 68 before wotlk hits. 70 if i have time.
Not too concerned about grinding gear on the current 70s (2 new shamies) as the effort/reward ratio is pretty weak given that all this will become obsolete near level 73-74 i think.

I thought I read that the reduced 60-70 xp was coming in 3.0 as well.

If I were hitting 70 soon I wouldn't grind all the bg s2 pieces, the drops and crafted boe items are decent enough to get you to mid 70's imo. I'm not replacing my s2 stuff anytime soon but the time and effort needed for them isn't worth what you can get starting wrath. If anything I'd definitely grind the spell mace again then grind gold with dailies. Lot's of gold. Trade skills and training are costing a lot. Luckily I pooled lots of gold onto each copy before copying to beta.

QFT.

PvP gear is getting killed in 3.0. (disabled stats in instances). Don't waste your time on it UNLESS you just really want to PvP your eyes out.Do you happen to have a Blizz source Fur? I'd like to read up on it. I thought just resilience was becoming useless for PVE but the other stats, like stam, int, etc. +dmg were all the same. I'll try walking into UK later on my shammy and see what happens if I don't hear back from you.

I meant just resilience. ;) I havent' heard of any other stats getting killed on PvP gear. Lemme go find that.Ok whew!!! Thought my gear would be totally useless there for a bit. I have 3 shammies copied over to Northrend but because of lag haven't done much with them. Would have been 5 but gave one key to my wife and one to a good friend in WoW that's been good to me over the years. What beta server are you on Fur? (PM me if you want to try running something on Northrend, I have my 70 healer & 3 shammies there).

Do you think they look for ways to screw druid tanks or just discover them naturally?

Though I can see a lot of plate wearing tanks having issues with this too as many items are being changed to lower the defense rating on them in favour of adding strength and people may have been thinking 'oh but my resiliance makes me uncrittable still, so it's ok'.

But mainly they seem to be breaking druids... again.... I'm glad I quit raiding on my feral tank :)

Edit: Just had a look into it and they've changed SotF to 6% rather than 3%, so maybe this won't be as much of an issue for druids as I thought it would be.
