Q u o t e:
First of all, do I make an in-game ticket or is there a form on the website somewhere?

You're welcome to query in one of two ways, Mi: via in-game petition or by emailing wowgm@blizzard.com.
In either case, please be sure to include the name, realm, class,
approximate level, and race of the character in question; with this,
note that you're willing to use a limited restoration for this
particular restoration.

Q u o t e:
Second,
is there a cutoff as to when you can no longer restore characters (the
Druid in question was deleted a couple months ago)?

It depends if there still exists record of the specific character.
While our systems do purge character deletions with fair regularity,
"older" character (those of higher level) do remain in our logs for
quite a while. The only way to find out is ask, eh? ;)

Q u o t e:
And lastly, you only have 3 character restores per account, right?

There does not exist a tangible or set "number" of limited
restorations, my friend; they are simply a guideline by which our
department can record previous restorations, and to which we can
regularly refer to ensure that a particular player is not making light
of our assistance. We value context, and will take all mitigating
factors in to consideration before proceeding; thus, we ask permission
before consuming a limited restore, as its use will weigh in on future
decisions.

Don't feel too bad, that mistake is easily fixable and you will be back up and running in no time :) Just remember, no matter how bad it is, there is always someone worse off than you lol. I myself had an account hacked with my 70 pally and 70 lock on it. They changed the password and because my mum set up the account in her name I have to wait til I fly over to Melbourne to get her to ring up Blizzard to have it changed back. (I don't go to Melbourne until late November).

They stripped my Pally :(

Also, they either deleted my lock or this is it here (been xferred from frostmourne to frostmane).

Accidentally clicked the wrong char to delete, or? O_o Seems hard to do this on accident. xD

Anyhow, yeah, open a ticket and he'll be restored. :>

There is an undefined limit though. Some people have been known to keep swapping between alliance and horde on their server for example, one guy I know was told by a gm, when he swapped, that it would be the last time he could swap. As he was kinda abusing the system to keep going back and forth factions. :>

I have deleted a toon before it DOES happen and they CAN fix it though it can take up to a week to get your account fully restored FYI

I smoked some weed and was creating alt teams. Bad idea. Went to delete one and it didnt switch toons. I typed delete and hit enter. Oops

The one time I deleted a character I asked to restore it and was summarily denied.

They said it wasn't worth their time to restore a level 5.

Saddly, the level 5 wasn't what I was worried about, it was the 16 slot bags (Pre-TBC), the fully purchased bank slots, and all the stuff in the overflowing bank mule (enchanting gear, etc.) I figure I lost around 5K gold in that mistake... reported it the same day within 3 hours, and they didnt' say they couldn't restore it, they said they wouldn't restore it.

Either way, gratz on YOUR restore :).

Zanthor, that's major GM failage to be honest. They should at least be willing to restore the items that were on that char. I'd seriously contact Ingame Customer Support on the forums or something, lol.

I can imagine a clean level 5 not being restored, but this is taking the piss. :P

To make you feel a little better, I accidently deleted my MAIN toon on friday in preperation for a transfer. I thought i was on the going to server with a toon with the same name as my main. WASN"T lol!

I sent an email to blizz in regards and had my main restored yesterday after the maintianace. I t was my first restore and did't have a problem at all. Nothing was changed on the toon at all.

The new problem now is I did do the trasnfer and maybe it was a sign from above but the Latency last night on the new server MAG was horrendous for me. I couldnt even play my guys. I came from a server wher lat was max 100 for me to min of 900 last night.

Im a little upset but oh well. Good luck on your restore. youll get it.

Yeah, they're usually pretty good about the restores. I was deleting a bunch of characters that I don't play (< Level 5, and such). I accidentally deleted one of my mules which was holding a HUGE bank full of netherweave cloth. I sent out an email five minutes after I realized the error (which was about a minute after the deletion) and I had the character back in about fifteen minutes.

If I recall, this was like two weeks ago. Seems like an epidemic of foolish multiboxers.
