Here's how it works. Two basic options that most people use: "plus sign" and "line spread." Plus sign puts your group in the following formation (M = main, 1/2/3/4 = alts:
Now, for the "line spread" it puts you in this formation:Code:...1 | 2--M--3 | 4
Now, you can get more complicated than that, but these are the two basic formations.Code:.....M 1--2---3--4
For an example of "plus sign," you bind the "N" key to "MOVE LEFT" on alt 2, "MOVE RIGHT" on alt 3, "MOVE BACK" on alt 4 and "MOVE FORWARD" on alt 1. Then you'll just press N until they spread out and voila.
For the line spread example, you'll want to bind the "N" key to "MOVE LEFT" on alts 1 and 2 and "MOVE RIGHT" on alts 3 and 4, then you'll bind the "M" key to "MOVE LEFT on alt 1 and "MOVE RIGHT" on alt 4. Then you just press "N" until they both spread a little bit, then press "M" to spread the other two out a little further.
Hope that helps. (Hey, I'm in a magnanimous mood today.)
P.S. OP, this is very thoroughly described in other threads, signifying you didn't search very hard. I'll warn you that if you're not willing to put in the effort to figure a lot of this out through research and trial and error, the average response to your "help me" threads will become rather terse. If this were easy, everyone would be doing it. Best of luck with it either way.
