At what point are you rerolling your resto shaman?

Just curious for those running the pally + 4 or shamanx5 teams...at what point did you respec one of your guys to be resto?

I'm curious too. I just hit lvl 57 and still havnt respeced one shaman to restro.

haven't yet (pal+4sham) - heroics haven't been an issue aside from the standard movement fights that can be problematic.

I managed to clear ramparts at 61 or 62 with my group with all the shamans as elemental, but BF wasn't going to happen due to mana issues on the trash waves before the second boss. So that's where I did it.

I'm serious -- I already had a 70 resto shaman, and not only grinded quests but also INSTANCES with my pally+4 ele shammies all the way up to 70.

1-10 Lowbie quests.
10-25 I used a 70 druid to run me thru instances on my 4 shammies to 25. (VC/Stocks)
25-40 I instanced with the Warrior (BFD/SM) and did a few quests when I was bored
40-45 I did SM with the paladin and hand-leveled each shaman when I was bored for about 1 level.
<--- 2.3 Patch. Long break happened here where I didn't play my shammies.
45+ Quests.
60-67 Quests. I do each instance only once or twice in order to complete the instance quests. I did all the quests in Hellfire, Zangarmarsh, Terokkar, Nagrand.
67-68? Kurenai Rep grind. Killed ogres in Nagrand. Fun stuff. :roll:
68-69 Caverns of Time: Durnholde
69-70 (almost there) Sethekk Halls

I rerolled one to Resto at 70 when starting Heroics. I boosted/quested all the way to 70 on my 4 Shaman with my Paladin who was already L70 with a T4 level prot gear set. I didn't have any issues doing all the instances on normal with 4x Elemental tossing the occasional heal my way. But this was before MgT was released so I can imagine that one would be a bit difficult to complete without a resto spec healer.

Is a resto shammy really neccessary? So far I've only I've only cleared SP and Botanica heroic with 5x elemental shammys, but i cant really see the use for a resto shaman. WIth the insane dps you have, mana wont be a problem anyway.

Haven't rerolled one resto yet. I can do heroic mana tombs/slave pens/under bog/ramparts with no problems. I have been meaning to give botanica a shot. It took me a while to stop dpsing on my main and healing my earth ele's. I run out of mana pretty quick but usually I can get the bosses down fast enough.

Almost done with lvl 66 and haven't even felt close to needing a resto shammy with a 1x/4x pal/sham setup. I've run Ramps, BF, SP, UB, and MT now without too much trouble. I've been preparaing for the eventual need for resto by handing more +healing gear to one of my shammies, but they're all still geared and spec'd for elemental dps.

The only really challenging fight I've had was Black Stalker at the end of Underbog.. until I realized I wasn't using a nature resist totem. Doh!
