Did you happen to look into the Sun Rays? Only need 1 server and the other stations are diskless and run off of PXE boot. You can get a nice workstation for $99 a seat. We're starting to use some of these in our labs. We have 90,000+ employees world-wide and everyone has at least 1 computer. This is saving us a ton... less support required and cheaper resources.

We use Sunrays, I am saddened on how poor they are compared to the "simpler" ncd devices. Sure they are great video, smartcard, fiber networking secure, multi-head, multi-unit display. But yet they need specialized software on the Solaris side, lack multi-session support, and lack any of the client side java that NCD had or even the earlier Sun thinclients had.
