BC gear is so OP

So finally got my guys to 58 this weekend and started some quests in BC to get some gear. The mobs where a little pain to kill, took about 4 LB to kill them. After about 1/4 of the hellfire quests (like the first 10 quests) i went from 20 spell damage to 149 spell damage. Having the gear triple what i had (i had some good stuff cause i was doing scholo runs). My pally went from 52% damage reduction to 63% damage reduction. The mana gain is also a huge help. Getting ride of some of my cloth gear for some mail now . Before i could only kill like 5 mobs then i would have to rest, now i can kill mobs and mobs and don't have to rest. The only time that i rest is when i kill 5 mobs back to back.

i have yet to see you ever...... EVER! Where are you hiding out at. Given that i've started my new group and am slowly climbing... kinda getting burnt out on quests and etc. I got my 5th shaman to 40 and was in Shat showing off come Chain heal formations for like an Hour.

This is the reason to get to Outlands quick via power levelling.
You can even find green Outland gear in the AH as low as level 58.
Most of the blue quest chains are very good too and lasts though level 65.

Old world instances like Scholo/Strath are good for exp & quests, but not for gear upgrades.

Outland greens are actually as low as level 57, if I am remembering correctly.

Those early quests help a lot with gearing up for instancing. Also, I don't know if this is due to my becoming more familiar and comfortable with my multiboxing setup, but once everyone in the group was level 61, Ramps became a heck of a lot easier (well, except for the final boss). I am not sure if there's a big leap in character power from 60 to 61 or if it just coincided with my becoming better at the keybind shuffle.

I'm usaly on between 3-4:30pm server (wife is still working) and 8-10pm server (wife is sleeping) on weekdays and weekends only from 8-11pm server. Might be staying on later on Friday and Saturday soon, just had to plant 95 trees which i wake up at like 9am to do so that the sun isn't too hard on down to 18 trees left, and cutting the grass (lots of land so takes me 4 hours even with a rider). I am also horde. Using one of my shams as my main for now, Zagata.

BC gear is not OP. You need the extra boost to fight Outland mobs. Same thing probably in WotLK.

It's OP for normal 60 and under content. By 58 I replaced all of the blues I got from Scholomance with AH greens of 2x to 3x armor/+spell dmg/+int. I bought all "of the Sorcerer" gear I could and now I'm running Ramparts at 61 with +260 spell damage on my shaman (totem of the void is the only thing I've held onto) and +180ish with 63% damage reduction on my pally. I can clear the place up to the dragon guy in under an hour now. I'll run Scholomance tonight and see how far I can get now, I use to clear just up to Rav and reset since I'd go OOM long before he'd be out of life. Currently I don't have any level 61 gear on so it's a vaild test of 60 and under gear.

Outlands BOE gear = 57+
Outlands quest/BOP gear = 58+
With questing, you should be able to get head / chest / legs / back /weapon / ranged at lvl 58. Also a trinket if you can drop Arrazius (63 elite).The next round of gear updates through questing is at 60, which pretty much fills out the rest of the slots.

Didn't get a chance to run Scholomance last night. The bosses(30k to 50k life) are about the same to the Watchkeeper (33k life) in Ramparts and I can burn him down in under 30 seconds ignoring the healers. I was going OOM on Ras at about 15k damage out of 33k. Omor has 59k and is not a problem for me to burn down with just 4 dps and my pally picking up nothing more than the summoned dogs.
