    Default WOTLK blues / new team class combos

    So, while I'm closing in on my pre-wotlk goal (epic flyers, 5k gold on each char, 75k honor and 5k arena points) I'm thinking of shelfing my shammies except to do dailies until WOTLK comes out. In the meantime I figured I'd try some new class combinations and I'd like some input on some of them if possible. I checked out the wiki (http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/inde...s_Combinations and http://www.dual-boxing.com/wiki/inde...s_Combinations) but didn't find the information I was looking for.

    Basically I'm considering the following teams and figured I'd share my thoughts in case someone should come upon similar choices:

    1) 5 druid
    Pros: Can all stealth, can probably do heroics, might be possible to do some pvp
    Cons: Only battleres (on cooldown), little CC, easy to fear, no wipe recovery, ae heal + ae dmg has to be mouse targeted

    2) 1 paladin, 4 holy/disc priests (something like http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=bxxhzuMtbxoZMxtcbbVb )
    Pros: Wipe recovery (buble + all ressers), viable for pvp, sta buff, great synergy
    Cons: Priests are squishy, no CC except fear, weak AE (holy AE x 4 though)

    - Speccing the priests holy + sanctity aura + seal of the crusader will be a very nice combo with the 10% dmg from aura and +219dmg from judgement and will make 4 renews possible without having to drop shadowform

    3) 1 paladin, 3 shadowpriests, 1 lock
    Pros: Excellent wipe recovery (buble + SS + all ressers), nice synergy, good sta buffs
    Cons: Weak CC, healing will be scarce with priests all shadow, three different classes are harder to control, lock is only AE class

    - The locks CoE and improved shadow bolt could work nicely with priests shadow spells and adding minor CC (succu, VW offtank) to the equation

    4) 1 paladin, 1 holypriest/restoshaman/restodruid, 1 lock, 2 mages
    Pros: Would be able to handle almost all PvE content if played well, good wipe recovery, excellent AE, excellent CC, good buffs
    Cons: 4 classes is tricky, not much synergy (lock CoE will benefit mages though)

    Is there anything I've missed/not thought of (probably, haha)? I'll aim to do mostly PvE content with the team, since I'm pvp'ing with my shammies.

    4 warlock / 1 priest

    Wipe recovery (to a point). Lots of damage, could be demo for felguard, else, could be ALF for high damage / dots.

    5 warlock

    Higher damage... vyn would know more about this than myself though =),

    True, but since it's mostly a PvE team, a tank is pretty much mandatory - you're not going very far in heroics with priest/4locks or 5 locks

    Btw I just realized that paladin sanct aura is pretty deep in the ret tree, which would severely damage his heroic tanking ability, so I guess the 10pct damage increase is out of the picture for the 1 pala / 4 holy/disc priests

    Arent druids getting a normal ress ?

    I remember reading that in the skills on mmo-champion.com

    Returns the spirit to the body, restoring a dead target to life with 1800 health and 1365 mana. Cannot be cast when in combat.
    10 sec cast, 72% of base mana, 30 yd range

    Druid restoration skill
    SingleHelix, DoubleHelix, TrippleHelix, QuadHelix, Sandaleth(70) (4x Shaman 1 x Paladin)
    Current level : 70

    Currently on hold : Sandalith(40), Sandaloth(40), Sandaluth(70), Sandalath(40)

    I thought of playing 3 protpalas and 2 Healers (Druids or Restoschamy), would take MUCH more Time to clear a hc, and some Eq is necessary but it could be a nice combo.
    Also 1 Tankadin 4 Druids was something i was thinking about....its not the easiest way to coordinate different specced druids + shapeshifting and whateva but it could be a cool idea, 5 druids is in my opinion (in PvP) worth a try if someone has enoug time....5 Moonkins would be able to do ANYTHING if you can manage the CC´s well...your opinions?

    I'd better add:

    5) 1 pala, 1 healpriest/druid/shammie, 3 mages
    - Pros: Good CC, good buffs, good AE
    - Cons: 3 different classes are harder to control, pala bubble is only wipe recovery, not much synergy

    The biggest problem I see with the druid-option is the way their AE's are targetted (mouse-only) which requires a hardware solution that is pretty difficult. 5 mooonkins would be nice for pvp but are very sensitive to spell locks (basicly only one school of magic and I don't think they can heal in moonkin form can they?). Prot pally + 4 druids is a possibility, but suffer from the same problems as 5 druids except the res, which is allegedly remedied in wotlk. If not for the AE targetting I'd probably give the druids a try - stealth is very nice on pvp servers, but until I can find a solution to the AE targetting I think they're out in the cold

    Yes it is, but i thought that was what your thread was aimed at, i guess duirng your levelling it'll be a bit of a pain :P

    Im in the same place as you.

    And I chose 4 druids.

    My quadbox shaman are the meat and potatoes. I just plan on sneaking into alliance towns with the stealth train and pissing off alliance all day with the new druids.

    Interesting to see what you roll...
