The Zerg - Guild Discussion

There has been a lot of discussion lately about the possibility of reforming the guild (Magtheridon US), so it doesn't hurt to post this. The guild roster needs fixed, and we could use an active leader. There has also been talk about making two guilds. One for alts, and another for mains.

So we need to decide on a name before we can get moving.

I think we should keep 'The Zerg' in the title, because of the reputation built behind that name. However, I dislike the idea of using special characters. If you do that, then nobody outside of the guild will be able to use /who to see us. Ideally, typing /who the zerg would still show both the main, and the alt guild.

Discuss.

If it is decided Zerg doesn't have to be in it I like "The Borg". Kinda fits right in with what we do. However, with Zerg:

Zerg (all by itself)
The Zerg Collective
The Zerg Factor
The Zerg Team

Some of these may be goofy but might spark some discussion.

I'm not sure keeping "Zerg" should be necessary. Any name you choose would quickly build it's own reputation when it has a dozen multiboxers.

The easiest way to fix our roster would be xzin giving someone the ability to fix it. We can come up with a cool new guild but my first choice would just be xzin log in and promote some people so they can fix The Zerg. It's pretty silly for us to move all our guys when all it takes is a few minutes to give permissions to active members.

How about "You got Zerged" kinda like you got served - lol.

I like just "Zerg" sounds more clean cut. I've never really been a fan of having words like The as the first word in a guild name, sounds more like a sentence rather than a name.
For the alt guild I would go with "Zerglings" I think that would fit well, you could still do a /who for both guilds and see who is in both, sounds cool and works well together.

Main Guild: Zerg
Alt Guild: Zerglings

If you separate the main's from the alts, it might mess up PvP, because then your alliance enemies will know who to target first... For PvE though, it's kinda cool, cause your main can be something that indicates leadership, and the alts can indicate servitude.

After creating my own guild (mostly for the guild bank) I'm not sure I would like to have all my characters in a "shared" one.

How about <The Zerglings> for the alts>?
