Is it normal for people to shout at you, and say things like

"ellay did it first" - "your a sheep" "faggot" "you should be banned"

Its nice when people complement you, but good lord people can be harsh.. why are they so upset with us?

I don't get much hate though, most people throw compliments :)
[edit2] If they call you a faggot, report them to a GM, they will get a temporary ban (or a permanent one of it's their 3rd offence). Verbal abuse is not allowed, especially not when it's sexually explicit.

Because either A) Mommy and Daddy will not give them money to dual-box, or B) They work at a dead end job and can't afford to do so.

Honestly I think that is the biggest part of it. Some people do honestly think it goes against the spirit of the game being an MMO and all. They fail to realize that most of us would still solo regardless of boxing. A lot of us just don't like the hassle of trying to get groups together and so forth.

Oh one thing to do is make a Macro that you can click that will say something like this:

Hello. Thank you for your interest in my hobby. Blizzard CM's have repeated defended the hobby and said in writing that it is okay as long as nothing is automated beyond what abilities are granted by in game macros. Funny since i reported 9 guys who talked about anal pleasure at the general chat yesterday and i do it just to be evil!

You need to develop thicker skin, my friend. People are gonna criticize you all throughout life... especially in World of Warcraft.

Don't ever let it bother you.. Say nothing but grats, put them on ignore, and definitely report them for foul language. GM interaction is quite often the best way to get someone to leave you alone. Heh, I used to flame so many people until I got a suspension, then it all changed.

Being a boxer you will get more attention than anyone else and some of it negative. I guess it kind of depends on what server you are on and how many boxers are on it. Most of the time I simply respond "Can it burger flipper' and quickly do /ignore X 5 and go about my business.

To tell you the truth, I get surprised now when someone doesn't call me something negative.

If it's especially bad, like [s]faggot[/s] or something, I'll report them 5 separate times just because I know it will piss them off even more that they were multiboxxorported PIZZOW 5 times and are likely suspended and fuming, lol.
