Default 4 shamans and stuck on what i should do...

Here is the deal i got 4 shamans and 1 of them is on my main account.. On my main account i got 5 70's in fairly good pvp gear. 1 holy paladin, 1 resto druid,1 arms warrior,1 aff warlock and a shadowstep rogue.

My shamans is currently lvl 17 but i hear alot about boosting beeing so awsome so im wondering what would be fastest?

Buying one more account and make a new shaman then using my paladin(respeccing to prot) for boosting. I see lots of people running paladin/4shamans wich makes me assume that its good. But is boosting realy THAT effective?

I do have 4-5 real life friends but i doubt they realy want to spend alot of time boosting me all the way upto 50-60?

Will it be good boosting xp to use a 70 prot paladin and use 4 shamans to trow him some heals or should i dps aswell to get more xp?

    I have 4 shaman and I sorta boosted them from 20 - 40.

I honestly didnt feel like I was leveling faster with the 70 in my grp vs just going at it with the 4 shaman. The one thing about boosting is that its very mindless so in that regard its nice if you just dont want to think or try. But thats not really why I play so I didnt find it very rewarding.

Also and more importantly - the lower lvl instnaces are a lot easier (no AOE silence on melee bosses that will face you with cloth and leather gear on) so thats really the best time to learn how to multi box. I am still learning how to do stuff but I def think that people miss out on fundamentals when they skip low lvl stuff.

That said if you already learned everything you think you need and you just want to get it done without thinking and feeling like its a lot of work then you should boost at least to lvl 50 or so.

The other thing you can do it just offer to pay someone 10g for a run thru. You probably make that much in greens and blues anyways. I have done that too - its one of the few times I actually pick up all the stuff of the mobs.

    anyways GL

I'm a 5 boxer and sort of had the same problem, Account 1 was my main account that had all my toons a couple 70 and some 30 alts. When i bought my other 4 accounts i tansfer my lvl 30 pally to another account (this account is my tanking account). I made a sham on the other 4 accounts (so 1 sham was on my main account with the 70s). Got the sham to 15 (lvl 1-10 questing and 11-15 doing RFC), the pally couldn't solo pull the instance so the sham had to help and took like 30 minutes per clear and wasn't getting too much xp. So i thought i will just power lvl my pally and have him go back and power lvl the sham. So i power lvl the pally for 2 lvls and i thought that i am wasting 3 open spots in power lvling so i created a new team (2 locks and a priest). From 1-32 i power lvl the teams with my rogue (best geared out of the other 70s, PvP spec and geared like yourself). At 32 i had my pally join. When i got them to 40 i was thinking that i will have to do this all over again and my sham team is capped on rested xp so i transfer 1 sham to the tank account and started power lvling them. So I was playing with rest for each team. Took about a month to get both teams to 52. Now that my shams are 57, i transfered (yesterday) my sham back to the original account so now i am lvling my 4 x sham and pally at once. The other team is 57 so when there rest is capped i will either rush them with the rogue in scholo or do hellfire instance with the pally.

So in short i would say get another account, transfer the sham that is on the main account to the new account. You should be able to rush them to 63 in a month or 2 for free (the first month of the new account is free and if you do a refer a friend you get a month free when that new account pays for at least a month). After the team is done power lvling then you can drop the account, well make it inactive, and who knows maybe you will want to 5 box down the road and now you don't have to buy a account.

I was able to power lvl 2 teams to 52 in a month only playing like an average 2.5 hours a day. That is using my PvP spec and geared rogue (might be faster if i was PvE spec, but the PvP gear helps a ton).

    Edit: Cost:
It will cost you $90 for you to do it this way. 2 x $25 per transfer (to and from new account), $20 WOW CD, and $20 BC CD. I think it is worth it, for the amount of time you will save. Money is tight for me but the $50 in transfer cost was so worth it for me.

Check out some of the boosting threads. Reading them has almost made me switch from 5x sham to 1 70 pally + 4shams. It is no doubt mindless and will leave you not knowing how to play the characters, but I have manually leveled 5 70s already and the xp rate of the 5x shaman team is sorta leading me to believe it might take me a LONG time to get them to 70 without boosting them.

My core team is 3 locks and a priest. I also have a 70 pally that was on the same account as my priest. I wanted to learn to box, be better able to control all my toons, work out macros and deal with weird situations. But, I still wanted to level fairly quickly, get some decent gear and and not have to quest too much ( I have quested 4 toons to 70 solo). I ended up moving my pally to a new account. I plan alternate between boosting and questing pretty much all the way to 70 to get the best of both worlds as far as learning and quick boosting goes.

Boosting is indeed the fastest way to level.. Currently waiting on my instance reset. I think i'm 23 right now, and my /played is 12 minutes, and i'm already 80% to 24. Boosting is efficient, and always available so long as you have a 5th/6th account to sub in to run.

    Default Nice!

Well the idea that popped up was lvling 5 shamans but i dont realy see why i should be in need of 5 shamans anyway? It will be a pain to gear when the new expansion comes out anyway and 4 shamans + a healer is better for the arena. So i can solo instances pretty good i assume with a prot paladin and 4 shamans? So when WOTLK launches i will be levling 1 prot paladin and 4 ele shamans.

I bet it will be hell on earth with everyone targeting me since multiboxers aint exactly popular on my server.
