    Default Need a new box. Q6600 + P5N-E + ??

Well, long story short (yes there's a pun there) I need to build out a new machine for 5-boxing.
I have a video card, case, power supply, HDD, CD, Vista, monitors, keyboards, etc. Basically I need a new MB + CPU + RAM. My budget is basically <700$ which is quite doable thankfully, here's what I picked so far:

    Intel Q6600 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115017
    Asus P5N-E http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813131142
    4GB DDR2 800 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145034

This puts me at ~445$ after shipping, I think it's a pretty good deal and it's reliable hardware. But if I could get better performance or better hardware under budget please make suggestions!
Or if you own this hardware and have any reviews positive or negative it would be appreciated

That looks impressive. I've been seriously considering purchasing another computer since my two pc's can only handle 2 wow's each. I'd like to add a fifth toon and the above config looks viable.

nice one those are shweet items tbh

built one myself just recently (a week ago)

I went even lower budget and went for a

    GA-P35-DS3L

only thing is it has one less SATA connector and doesn't support SLI, but other then that I love it

that together with the 6600 and a Thermalright IFX-14 and am running at 48C at full load

only odd thing is i spent more money on a cooler then a Motherboard >.< well worth it tho my pc is almost completely silent (the PSU makes a sound I guess, and the LEDs, oh and my HHDs every now and then :P)

for RAM I can only recommend OCZ 4BG (2x2Gb) Platinum saves you a few dollars and allows you to expand to 8Gbs in future if you wish

That is exactly what im using, works a charm - With all the 5 clients affinity's spread i never get 100% usage on any of the cores.

I read somewhere the asus MoBo does not have the x16 pipelines on PCI express like they say. So maybe check if you can find another MoBo that does support the X16.

    googled this : http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...50aHVzaWFzdA==

They dont seem to mind the x8 on the gfx port. The review seems highly happy with the MoBo.

I picked up this SLI mboard + q6600 combo for $300 yesterday from Compusa. So glad tigerdirect bought them out because now I get tigerdirect prices in my own home town. This deal is available online for those that may be interested in an SLI'able upgrade.

XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Motherboard CPU Bundle - OEM, Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Processor 2.40GHz OEM

The only downside is the combo does not include any cpu cooling. For me this was fine because I had a Thermaltake Big Typhon VX sitting around.

For memory I spent $60 (after rebate) on:

    OCZ SLI-Ready Dual Channel 4096MB PC6400 DDR2 800MHz Memory (2x2048MB)

Total cost of Upgrade: $385.2(After Tax)

How's it working out for you? Ease of setup? Stability for multiboxing? I'm looking at getting the same. Thanks.
