Powerlevelling in stratholme.

I have a 46 rogue that I feel the urge to get to outlands level and beyond as quickly as possible. (I don't have any others round this level to multi box him with)

I also had plans on soloing parts of stratholme on one of my 70's for some cash for epic mounts. I think it's pretty much, go in kill one boss, come out reset, rinse and repeat.

Looking at the minimum level requirements for stratholme I noticed that my rogue would be able to come along to this instance and figured it would be best to kill two birds with one stone.

Having never really done stratholme solo (indeed I think I've done it probably about once in a group) I was wondering how well geared the 70 should be before setting foot in there.

I have 3 70's to choose from. Two are reasonably geared. The third is in outlands greens and blues with a couple of epics.

Warlock - demonology specced currently, 1k spell damage a bit over 10k health.

Hunter - 8-9k health 1200-1400 attack power beast mastery specced.

Shaman - about 7.5k health, 495 spell damage elemental, down to natures swiftness in resto.

Would any/all of these be viable for soloing/boosting my 46 rogue?

Does one jump out as being the best option for the type of pulls encountered in stratholme?

If push comes to shove I could probably bring along one of the other 70's, but this may gimp the xp for the rogue too much.

Does anyone have any feel for how much xp/hour this could yield?

Any hints/tips would be appreciated too?

Just to let you know - I don't need repsonses on this thread (but didn't want to delete the OP).

I've done a bit of research offsite and I'm pretty sure my level 70 hunter should be able to solo the live side.

If anyone is interested I'll feedback how much XP my rogue got from the run (but that might not be too useful for anyone boxing between 2 and 5 alts.

You may have a hard time without a heal/decurse some of the dots in there is nasty even for a 70, I know I leveled my warrior from 45(I think) to 62 In there I played my hunter and my buddy played his Pally. We were doing the same thing farming for epic mounts(and the baron mount). The Gold was great usually 55-60 gold in grey trash 2-4 Orbs heaps of runecloth and 12-15 Large Shards. All in all we were pulling over 500 gold a run.

Try It but I dont think I could solo on my hunter, never tried though...

EDIT* Didnt see that you could bring along another 70, bring your Shammy and one of the other 2, the XP is still good.

My 70 Rogue with a mix of Kara and SSC gear had no problem clearing most of the dead side. I boosted my main team there qiute a bit. I wiped after Ramstein a couple times and then just started doing runs until I killed the guy that drops the key to the side entrance (Magistrate). The only thing to remember on the dead side is to be careful when doing the Baroness. For that fight, you have to leave your lowbies right after the gate that starts the 45 min countdown. Otherwise, she will MC your 70 and obviously wipe you. If your lowbies stay back there, she won't MC anyone and your 70 can kill her easily.

I got a mix about this. I started sm cath at lvl 21 (mobs about 18 lvls higher) and 3 runs dingged me. So i was like cool and ST is in the 48 lvl mobs so i was like lets go to ST at 35. WRONG biggest mistake, took me like triple the time to get the same xp. So i stuck with cath until 40 then went to zf. So hopefully at 45 sholo wont be like ST hopefully like cath, but will live with a cross between. Right now i am getting about 5/6 per hour at zf. Thinking that scholo (the 3 first rooms) will take me about 30 minutes to do.

Drizzit, the thing is, look at how much XP is needed to ding at 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25? even doing high instances, u'll ding in no time, no matter if the mob gives u 50 or a 100xp. thing is, it starts to hurt past 30, and it hurts a lot. now imagine before the xp boost and less XP per level.
and leveling on instances from 50 to 60 is the major pain in the ass! im tired after 1 hours inside BRD for some..3 or 4 XP bars wtf ? i went WPL, made the cauldron quests and it was awesome! until i reach outlands, with the crew at 58, ill be just doing the quickest quests...

i tried scholo with a druid feral friend 70, and my lowest shammans. the 52's were doing 200dmg, the 57 around 1000dmg, and between fear bombs, spell knockbacks, i just called it off because the xp was soooo soooo low. what i think is that, rested XP in instances it's a go, but when ur not rested, just go quest, because even if u hate it, u do a quest in 10 minutes that gives like 8k, and inside an instance sometimes u need 20 minutes for 8k
