Default [WoW] Dual-boxing two individual characters

I have a druid and a mage on different accounts that I play mostly by themselves. When I dual-box them, I use multibox without broadcasting and basically switch back and forth constantly.

I'm trying to figure out a way of making this easier. My main problem is action bars are tied to the account. I can't set rearrange my spells for broadcasting or else I'll have to redo it every time I play the character by itself.

My current thought is to get the XKeys keypad for extra keybindings for the second account.

Does anyone here multi-box with characters you also play singly? What's your technique?

For starters, I assume your druid is a feral/tankish type druid? If so, you could setup a /castrandom macro that you could just button-mash with one key while you "played" your mage. This would be somewhat difficult as you would have a tough time adjusting for adds and such but it should simplify things greatly.

You would probably also benefit from looking through all the macros and addons threads over in that forum and see how people have condensed activities down to a few keys for their main functions.

    That's where I'd start.

I have the same situation. Druid and mage that I play by themselves.

My solution is to not broadcast.

The druid is feral, and the mage follows around and nukes. I have the druid on my main computer and mage on the secondary. I'm just not sure where to actually put the macros. I could only broadcast a few keys I suppose, so as I'm spamming mangle/lacerate on my druid my mage would be casting frostbolt.

My main problem is I don't want to have to reconfigure my macros/action bars every time I switch from nuker-follower mode to I'm-going-raiding-now mode. Trying to find a way to just log off with one and instantly be able to play the other like normal.

Hi, for the Bars, how about using an AddOn which saves the Barconfig?

For Example I use: SnapshotBar (http://files.wowace.com/SnapshotBar)

    Greets, sciro

Well, with SuperMacro, you can make a TON of macros, so you could have separate macros for each. Then for your hotbars, you can select multiple hotbars (SHIFT+1/SHIFT+2/etc.) that you can set up with different buttons dropped on 'em. That should give you most of what you're after.

I'll have to check out SuperMacro, the built in account/individual macro limitation was quite frustrating. I think I can make different macros for the default 12 buttons based on solo/dual-box play, and swap the macro files depending on how I'm playing. Anyone know if you can swap the macro file and do a /console reloadui to get the new ones to load, or if you have to completely restart WoW?

As far as multiple hotbars, I already use all 120 buttons (UI Screenshot)

I use a mod called BindPad. It allows you to directly bind keys to spells and macros without placing them on a bar.
