Default For the healz....Shammy or Priest (all 5 mans)?

So, I will be going with a Pally and 3 mages, however, the healer is a big debate. I love the fact that I've played wow for so long and leveled everything past 30 except Pally, Mage and Shammy. So this will be fun.

    My Goals

Run every 5 man I can, even heriocs!

So, the priest provides a Stam and Spirit buff that the Shammy does not. However, the Shammy has its totems. Both can rez everyone and both have AOE heals. With 3 mages having 1 less squishy would be nice. So, taking all the known bosses into account, is it really that much difference having a Priest or Shammy as my main healer? I assume the Priest would have more mana as well, maybe not. Let me know what you think, especially if you have experience with a tank/3-DPS/healer combo.

i've had a priest forever as my main healer, shammys are good too with chain heal but i personally prefer the priest over the shammy for the buffs and my priest seems to outlast my shammy's mana pool by far, but the shammy does have reincarnation which is freakin awesome, but i run with a lock too so i use SS all the time but with 3 mages i might trade one our for a lock for their survivability that they add to your group, just having 2 rezzers is gonna suck, cause if you run a instance and your tank is killed that is one rezzer, and the mobs will go straight for the healer and there goes the second. and wipes are no good

Let them hate, as long as they fear.

Ya, not too worried about the quantity of the rezers. Also, ading another class to the mix would be just too much micro managing, hence the 3 mages.

Having both a priest healer and a shammy healer; I'd say go with a shaman.
He'll have better survivability and being able to easily heal multiple targets at once is really nice.

There are perks to having a priest, but if you accidentally pull agro with them, they can die pretty quick.

Funny, but I've been toying with the idea of speccing my Shaman resto and my priest shadow when the hit 70 and my crew is a fivesome. As long as the shaman can heal my paladin, it seems that the shadow priest boosting my warlock would lead to higher DPS. Any thoughts with my crew? (mage/lock for DPS, pally tank with either shaman/priest as healer/DPS or the reverse)
