    Default Quest? Or Instance Grind?

Hello this is Electric from Malfurion-US (Horde). I am relatively new to multiboxing but I am getting the hang of it.

I recently started 5-boxing Shamans, and did pure kill quests to get to level 12. Now that I can probably do RFC, would you recommend continuing kill-quests? Or should I grind instances to 70? If you reply / vote I would really appreciate if you explained why.

    Thanks in advance...

    ~Electric.

I have this question aswell for my 1xPaladin+4xPriest team. I was planning on waiting until I hit 20 before I enter Deadmines (mind flay + consecration) before I start instance grinding. I guess I'll instance grind about 75% and do kill quests (those that I can still remember from levelling my other characters) when feel like taking a break from instances.

Both. Go to instances when you can't find multibox-friendly quests. Quests got priority with me because of better XP, but sometimes I did instances because of the gold and because questing got boring.

I think a mix of instances and quests is best - Quests is the quicker, but doing just quests drives me insane + I box to be able to do instances by myself, so obviously I level mostly in instances.

If you have a dps 70 with good gear, instance boosting is by far better than questing at 10-50..
I compared numbers with titan bar.. and I was consistently getting 40-70% more exp per hour in instances, than questing (using questhelper).

Might be true, but since he is 5 boxing, that would mean doing 2 bosts to get all leveled, which must be slower than running the whole team?

    Do both.

I refuse to do collection quests, so that means I have to instance grind a little.

What I basically try to do is instance grind while I'm in a blue bar, then quest either when purple or when the quests in a given area are starting to turn green.
No matter where you go, there you are.

Ok so heres my situation. I have been playing Alliance on US-Malfurion for around 2-3 years. I got bored, and a buddy and I re-rolled on horde. Since it is a PvE server I can have both. I do not have a 70 on horde, but I have a 25 or so pally, I was debating whether or not it is smarter to get a friend to boost me through instances until 60 or so, then level to 70 (On the paladin), THEN possibly 4-box shamans? I then would use the pally to boost them through instances. Thank you for responding, and the contributions so far.
