Default Leveling spec for 5 shamans

The tossup is obviously between enhancement and elemental.

Elemental being easier to multibox, but enhancement seems to have less downtime, and is possible multibox (auto follow diminishing on a swing can be tedious). What are you suggestions and why?

I'm personally going to be 4 boxing shaman enhancement.
For me, levelling 1 shaman, mana was a huge issue with enhancement and continues to be an issue till i got water shield.
With the extra dps from additional slaves, i expect it'll go a lot better.

I'm currently working on a 5-boxing rogue team (it's super secret, don't tell anyone) which is really successful at levelling and killing stuff.

Melee positioning aint as bad as a lot of people think.

I'm running a 5box shamen team at level 51 now,
all have an (almost) equal build (darn misclick :s)
    http://www.wow-europe.com/en/info/basics/talents/shaman/talents.html?tal=55000145000213351051000000000000000000000050053110 05000000000
I've just completed filling the elemental tree and started on the resto.

I'm not sure if I can keep them like this,
but for now I'm able to nuke myself through most encounters.
I just haven't killed maura's princess (immune to nature) and had to give up a ST run because I ran out of Ankhs

I've been doubting a lot about both specs aswell, the mana issue is easy to solve if you can summon a mage at any time.

But if you do want to go for enhancement, the macro which follows and starts attacking works great.
I end up melee'ing mobs quite often,
I have my mouse wheel tilting setup to turn the clones so in the event the mob decide to annoy them it's easy to adjust.

In the end it all comes down to your preference, melee clones will need more attention, caster clones will need a drink after every few mobs.
    Real-Life is overrated,
in the end we all die and our family will be like "can i haef your stuff"

Yo, question about your rogue team... i am gonna lvl 2 druids and a rogue, now that you said its not as hard as most think.. i might go feral to lvl those druids, make time go by faster.. But just so you know i will be asking you a lot of questions lol i hope you dont mind, i havnt been db'ing for too long, but i have only done spell casters becasuse of what everyone said about melee but if you think its not that hard then im willing to try anything and i think rogue 2 druid would be a sick combo... mangle mangle claw mangle rejuve, woot win E ZZ MODEE! oh yeah forgot sap cheapshot, i win cause im a sucky rogue that is too op and can beat any mage before they can blink or ice block =O, lil bit of anger there, my mage is teh sux against teh rogue! but im gettin beter anyways... aight so that kinda drifted off but anyways yeah cool ... i think and peace inch: inch:

My experience has been that leveling elemental has not been nearly as tedious on mana as people make it seem, perhaps we are all spoiled from our never ending supplies of mana and health when we reach raiding status at 70. I remember leveling my warrior, and my original shaman (Enhancement) mana, and eating for health as the warrior, were far greater issues then mana with 5 shamans. I personally was able to blaze through levels after about 20 without even trying. Once I started running ZF I could do about 6 pulls without drinking, just by making sure to use my totems effectively (Pull back to a totem farm, rather then move the totem farm every two pulls). This also reduced the risk of pulling more then desired, further decreasing my downtime, as I didn't have as many mistakes.

I went ahead and specced somewhat an end game raiding spec, with a few twists and turns (And a misclick.. grr). I of course have played a Elemental shaman since TBC came out, so for me it was a very easy transition, with no learning curve to play 5.

I'd imagine Enhancement would be less mana intensive, but I doubt it would be as powerful for soloing instances (Which may not be an issue for you if you don't plan on instancing). I also know that on non elite trash during quests, I almost -never- drink though. Once every 3 or 4 minutes maybe, but generally things drop in one bolt of lightning, and an earth shock, and I regenerate enough to keep mana up. I do however wear spell caster gear, mostly cloth, which can be bothersome.

If you do go Elemental, talents that are almost a must for ease of leveling are Earth's Grasp, and Improved Fire Totems. The decreased time on my fire nova make it amazing in large pulls. Pull with a single lightning bolt, drop 5 Stoneclaw, wait 1 second, drop 5 fire nova, move backwards, Chain lightning, and then start bolting it down. You can probally skip the +hit talents (especially if your a Draenei), or at the very least drop them at 50.

I did mine as enhancement until 53 when I felt like I had enough talents to make up for the terrible elemental gear itemization (I'll be damned if I wear cloth on shammies). I had zero issues, even with the 7-mob pulls in RFD, until I hit Theradras and Shade of Eranikus. Those two were nigh unkillable for me, so I cheesed them with 70 alts. :P I had pretty killer mana issues as elemental, though. I'm sure you can get away with going cloth for more castery stats but it makes you squishy.

Up to you. I found enhancement to be hella fun.

If I were to try 5 shammies instead of 4 + paladin, I'd go with elemental again. You can always bring stacks of water with you..
I guess it was easy for me since I had Blessing of Wisdom on full-time, and my shammies were in caster +spell damage, +int, +spirit cloth gear until level 50 or so.

I'd still think it'd be easier to just bring water, then stoneclaw / earthbind / chain lightning groups rather than running melee with 5x enhancement shammies.. not that melee positioning is too difficult (I'm loving my rogue team), but ranged is just faster for quick pulls and burst damage.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.
