Default Running clones with no sound

Some time ago, somewhere on these forums I read that disabling sound on the clones makes you lag allot less.
Now I can't seem to find this post again and I was wondering if anyone could help me on this?
Do I just go to options and disable all sound or CTRL+S all clones exept for the main, or anything else I should do to make this work?

why do you want the sound on all your toons? Would sound like clutter IMO>

    Diamondz,
the op is trying to kill the sound of the clones.
He is trying to figure out how to do it.
I would guess that, yes, you have to go to the sound options of each of your clones and turn everything off.
But, there are different factors that you will have to consider, are you software boxing? hardware? and if software, then, are you using different wow folders for your toons. or are they all pulled up from the one folder?
I believe that if your using one folder to run all your screens then you will have to do it all the time after you closed the windows. try it out see what works.
    so, thats that. :P
