Default Only been 5-boxing for a week and already changed my team up...

Ok, started off with 5x shaman, to get my feet wet, got bored of the durator grind and realized I never did the BE starting area. I have Joanna's leveling guide so I decided to do a blood elf gang. Exyle, the Paladin, and Bhanish, Outlander, Expelled, and Refugey the Warlocks, still on Magtheridon. The Paladin will be an easy "Tankadin" build, but I'm really trying to figure out the warlock builds. I don't know if I should make one a Fel-guard off-tank build, make them Demonic Sacrifice/Destruction builds, or maybe Affliction/Destruction builds so I can stack insane DoTs and then hammer them down with shadow damage.

    Bradster? Comments?

Also... called my computer guy and am upgrading to 4G of RAM and a 3.0 Quad Core... that should clean up the lag...

Heh, I'm working on my 5th group of 70s (not counting the two 60 groups I leveled pre-BC and left at 60 on my old PVE server) at the moment. It's great fun and there's always something new to try.

    Affliction/Destruction
    Hi ya,
I did Affliction, good for not having much gear. Destruction I haven't tried but watching nogs vides of his, does nice burst DPS could very well be a better build for instances. But for leveling casting a lot of dots on the move is a nice thing, plus farming as well.

I tried Felgaurd, but I goofed, I tried it at 52 i think. Which at 56+ is when it gets good having all its abilities. I feel having one off spec wouldn't be a good thing I don't think. It likes to break CC with cleave. Also it pulls hate right off void walkers and has less Hp and armor then void walkers. Also know while playing my Resto Sham in groups, tanks have requested warlocks to put it away. So perhaps this thing generates a lot of hate, I don’t know.

You’ll have to experiment a bit and see how it goes. At the very least, for me I’d spec them the same for simplicity. If I was just 2 boxing I think having the Felgaurd would have more of an advantage

Due to Blizzards position on Hong Kong, money > freedom. I stopped playing.

I have taken 5 shammies to 70, and also a priest and 4 locks to 70 as well - trust me when I say stick with the shamans if you want to do anything past 5 mans on normal mode.

    Cheers,

See.... problem with that is I was born in Missouri... the "Show Me State"... we tend not to believe things on blind faith. I see the benefits of a 5-shaman team, but where is the disadvantage in a paly/lock group that would stop me from going to 5-man heroics?

Your biggest problem would be healing...

5x Shaman group works because you try as hard as possible not to get hit. Earthbind/Frostshock/stoneclaw (lol) kiting and such.. and when you do get hit.. with sufficient gear... you're able to take 1-3 or so hits. All party members have the ability to heal decently...

Your group... 1 tankadin + 4 locks... No healing aside from the tank healing itself.. which would be bad news anyway... now you've got some sort of crowd control with Banish/Seduce... and you have voidwalker tanking which is good for 1/2 hits at heroic levels... not saying things are impossible but it becomes that much more difficult. I suppose you could Kite with curse of exhaustion.

I would love for it to work out though..

Yeh could 5 man heroics with just pali and 4 warlocks some encounter would be a lil rough but doable wouldnt be any more difficult then doing 5 man shammy group.

could have health pots plus 3 different healthstones and with Concentration Aura pali could heal himself

just switch out one of the warlock for a healer would make it easy mode though

spec wise I would say go affliction its easier getting plus to shadow damage then fire.

or yeh could go demo and spec the pali to heal?

I was contimplating making a healing tankadin... not hitting so much but self healing to keep agro on me... I've seen that done in a youtube video before (I think). Something like this build. Then do an uber DoT/Drain Life warlock setup like this.

But yeah, worse case scenario I could switch out one of the warlocks for an uber healer in the LFG channel
