PiP is actin a lil funny for me

Hi,

I redid all my addons/ui/macros after patch this week... and I'm suddenly have some very odd behaviour outta Keyclone PiP.

I was up till Tuesday still using 1.8i. As mentioned, I redid all my crap when realms were down... and I thought I'd try out a lil flasheir gfx. Not a lot, just pumped up my settings a hair with the sliders. No ingame lag so I was happy. I have no idea if it's related, but after this I am finding that hitting my 5 preset PiP keys is a bit of a gamble. Often when I hit a key, my macro ingame fires off np, switching focus and follow... but my window itself doesn't switch to the new one at all. This never happened before ever. In fact PiP for me before was like 99.99% lagfree and seamless.

Anywho, I realized my version was older so I updated KC. Same issue.
I deleted KC folder and redownloaded and re-set up KC. Same issue. (I am 99.99% certain I have KC & Maximizer setup correctly, Ive been over it with a finetooth comb)
I turned all gfx back down to low. Same issue.

I'm stumped. I know I have them all pointed at the proper WoW and the proper region. I know that my ingame macro/focus point to the proper WoW and region as well.
I also know that all 5 copies of wow are running at the exact same gfx settings.

The only other info I can think might be important is that I play 5 WoWs on one comp, one monitor. I set up my maximizer regions all at full screen size directly on top of eachother so that I essentially only 'play' one toon. When I need to operate a clone I PiP/focus switch with ease (well, not as much ease the past few days but previously it was working amazingly)

Well, hopefully we can figure it out.

OK.. I found something else funky. What I have mine set up like is that I use F8-F12 as my five toon's focus switch and pip switch buttons. Now I'm noticing that I will have PiP ignore going from one to another but the other will switch to another one! LOL, confused? I am!

example:
acct 1 (F12) want to switch to acct 2 (F11), hits key but nada... no window switch. Ok, let's try acct 3 (F10). Ok, switches fine, now let's try acct 2 from here.. yep now I can switch.

It seems like they have some sort of order I'm not aware of? Is it important that I load them in a certain order, does that have any bearing?

i'm a bit confused by your description.

the keys are associated with the original wow in the region.
if your cursor is on wow1... and you hit f8... which is tied to wow1/region1 ... then nothing will happen.
but, if you hit f9.. which it tied to wow2/region2... then wow1 and wow2 will swap.
at that point.. with your mouse hovering over wow2/region1 ... hitting f8 will bring wow1 back to region1.

basically... hitting the hotkey is always attached to the character you want.

As I said, I've been playing up till now with 5 clients, each one of them at 1024x768, the regions built on top of eachother. Basically my 5 wow's are tiled directly in front of eachother. I only look at one screen (my focus atm) as I play. I never had a single issue with pip switching up until the patch day (when i redid some ingame gfx stuff)

It all sorta still works, but now its picky and kinda random. Like if im o the pally but want to switch to sham1, nope. But if i click to sham3, and then try sham1, sure it works. And on and on, navigating through my party can get weird lately. And then of course, its not a set order because the next time i load KC & wows it'll all be different.

Hmm, Gurb is telling me in IRC to try loading up my WoW's using a command hotstring (I have always loaded them seperately?). Lemme see what that does!

i think the stacking might be an issue.. i've never tried it.
i'm wondering if it's confusing which window is 'on top'.. thereby swapping the wrong windows.. hmmm
