Default Trouble opening more than one instance of WoW.

Hey guys, I don't know exactly what the problem is, but I'm having trouble opening more than one instance of WoW on my computer. I've tried opening from different directories, but it doesn't help. Sometimes I'm able to open 3 at once (from the same directory), but other times I just keep getting critical errors. What I basically mean is that part of the time it works, but more often than not it doesn't. Is there a reason why this is happening? Any help would be great. Thanks.

How do I even get started multiboxing?
Simple. If you try running two copies of WoW, the game will crash. This trips a lot of people up. It does so because you can't store all of the games information in files that would change from copy to copy (settings, macros, etc). So the simple solution is to copy your ENTIRE WoW directory (all 7.5 gigs or so). Rename it something that makes sense, like World of Warcraft Box 2 and then copy the shortcut to the desktop. Launch it just like you would the other copy. Leave the WoW.exe file alone. You now have two copies of WoW running on a single machine.

But essentially not true, I and many others have run two or more instances from a single directory, and the OP mentions having run the game from different directories...

TwentyTw0 perhaps if you post some system specifications we might be able to help more. I for one find getting two clients to run in any manner very difficult on a single core.
Currently running 3x City of Heroes under Octopus

Make sure sound is turned off (all checkmarks) in each WoW, including the "hardware acceleration" one. I had all checkmarks off, except the hardware one and had trouble. Once I removed that checkmark on all of them, no troubles since. You don't necessarily need a dual core machine, but it will help.
