When I was in college I did tutoring part-time -- babysitting is also an excellent source of income in my area. My mother stayed at home while my dad worked and made a decent amount of pocket cash from petsitting and babysitting.

It may not sound like the most glamorous of jobs, but if you're already tending to a young one, depending on the type of disability they might enjoy some company with other kids while you can earn some pocket money babysitting.

Edit Vyndree beat me too it!

Have what I think might be the perfect idea. Know anyone with kids, that need a baby sitter for a few hours? Extremely hard job but you could find that type of work quickly and work at home.

    Something to think about also.
Digital Cable, with nothing added like HBO or anything is $115 here, with internet.
(It’s cheaper to get cable TV AND internet due to package deals)
    Normal cable + Internet = $60
There's some decent savings right there.

I paid $115 for a few years, then I downgraded (I should of asked her first lol). Now she pays the cable bill most of the time, I'm not going to pay for 350+ channels with nothing on when I get home. I mean honestly WTF 350 channels and your telling me you can't put one damn good thing on? Hence MMO's for me lol.

categories for making money usually fall into making money off the margin, service, or production.

    margins: buy/sell >> profit
    --
ebay for buy/sell might be possible.
check out antiques on the weekend.. develop an eye for it.. check to see if people are buying.. maybe someone across the country will pay for the antique you found at the local garage sale

    service
    --
this would depend on your skills and where you live. vyndree put one up, helping others. another possibility... helping the elderly. some people have a tough time getting groceries or general shopping.. these are things you do anyhow. top it off with maybe a meal service, and you could probably make a few hundred a month on top of costs. laundry service is another big win (my Dad made $$ while in the navy doing laundry on the side... he had a gimmic that allowed him to use the laundry machines without actually spending the money. yes, my Dad hacked a laundry machine ). transcription is another service people pay for... but i think the rate is low

    production
    --
produce something. you have a computer... content on the net comes in many forms. web content can be web site production, making stories, writing columns for newspapers (big win here), taking pictures of various things, music, or video. once you produce something, you either make the money from people that want the item, or you make money from advertisers that will pay you to advertise to the people that pick up/use your product (this only happens once you get over 70,000 viewers).

if you have any tech talent, check out dice.com (http://www.dice.com ) and specify telecommute... see what pops up (if you have no tech talent, but are truly... TRULY.. interested in learning, i have taught/tutored in the past. just ask and we can discuss the possibilities).

Umm well I have a job too, i am a stay at home mom to a severly disabled child and so because of that I cant actually go out in the "REAL WORLD" and work for money.
I dont know how old your child is but I am a school teacher and know of several part time positions as aids to assist disabled children. Might be a way to work and take care of your child at the same time. Might want to contact your local school district, see what you can find out.

I don't know what is wrong with your child but if you can manage it why not start a company that deals with other children that have this same issue? Mebbe like a day camp or something.

How about a paper route? It's early in the morning and rather fast?

Are you good at playing poker? I make a ton of money playing poker online. Almost more then I make from my job.

What about a remote admin assistant? India is doing it, why can't you?

What about an invention of the sort? Do you have any that you can research online and find someone to create for you?

Can you knit? what about selling knitted items on ebay?

If you want to be gross you could do what the homeless do out here in SF, Ca. They go around and farm all the platic bottles and glass cans which they turn around and recycle for $$$. It's a lot of money actually!

There are online sites that will pay you to "experience" their product and write a review.

There is a great book that has helped me with my income and shortened my hours at work. It's called the 4 hour work week. You should give it a go and see if that helps you come up with ideas to manage your situation for the better,
    '
All and all what you are doing with your child is saintly. Not many people can do what you do. I used to work for a company that took care of disabled kids that their parents could not handle. I am very happy to know that you are not one of those people!

Off the wall but it's been done before for much less worthy causes:
Create a website named something like www.paymywow.com
on it explain your story and how wow is really your only release from stress and interaction with other people. Ask people to donate $1 via paypal. Sounds ridiculous doesn't it?

I can't remember which country it was but there was a lady who'd run up $30k in credit card bills, so she created a site and asked people to send her donations to pay the credit cards, it worked and she's debt free now. Now the differences between her and you are worlds apart, you are a worthwhile human being who is in a situation you didn't choose and had no control over, whereas she was a twit in situation created by herself. I'd send you a $1
