5x warlock boxing???

Hello boxers,

I just activated my extra accounts and using Keyclone with 5 sessions on my PC. so far I am loving the PVE peice with that said :

I have been reading all the threads here and I must say I feel overwhelmed on some of the macros people make and use.

But after reading all these threads I feel I might be making a mistake. Is having 5 Locks a good config for BG/5x5 pvp?

I play a single lock so I know how fun it is to have one felguard but I keep having a pipe dream of what it would be like to have 5 of those.



So I already have Morfphine, Darrvocet, Oxycontiin, Vicodine, Percocett as locks. I have the standard marcos I have peiced together from various threads. But I still dont know if I have the proper setup for them.

Here is my 2 main questions:

1: If a 5 warlock a good config with proper talents and macros or will i be a walking death targets since I have nio healer in the mix.

2: could some of you brain trust macro gurus give me the core use of the macors to use for spells , pets and pvp? I have a very hard time understanding macros. Most of them I just copy and paste.

I think your DPS would be very solid. The number of instant casts you have, the ability to throw any curse you want on any target, and your pets would give you a fair amount of flexibility.
In PvP, the "drop Debuffs" spells will hurt you a bit more, but I think you could still overwhelm people or force them to pop that Cloak of Shadows faster than they'd like. And while a rogue can stunlock one warlock, having 4 more ready to fear him off sounds like sweet revenge for a solo lock player like myself.

If you have all 5 of your locks drop Co(1-5), then 1.5 seconds later drop corruption, then 1.5 sec later drop SL, you have put a world of hurt on someone in 3 seconds, and in a BG situation they might have no clue where you are.

It may not be ideal, but I definitely think it sounds like fun, easier to manage than more complex combos, and certainly not a "too stupid to try" endeavour. As for myself, I hope you go for it and let us know how things go.

This is just theorycrafting. I hear rumors that some people use 4-5 locks. I would search and see what you can find.

I am not scared of not having a healer on my hunters, since they are Draenei (Gift of the Naaru is a moderate healx5), since most of the time, the pets will tank, and I can feign if poop hits the fan.

I would send in 3-4 voids in instances and use 1 imp. Sure not crazy DPS, but better to have a tank that you can lose and not your char. I would let them fight over who gets the mobs so they might share the damage equally. To me, the more you spread the damage, the easier it is to heal. Don't feel bad about not having a healer, you have locks that can steal life pretty easily. If the mobs are too easy, you can use 1-2 voids and 2 succy's and an imp.

For talents, I would pick 2-3 affliction, 2-3 demo. The soul siphon x 2-3 would come in handy. The bigger pets would come in handy also. I am a defense, strategy and macro person, so other people might try to do things differently. Such as destro and burst the mobs down. Use all imps/succy's and fear mobs. Go for +damage and try to DPS the mobs down in general.

I might try 3-4 different strategies and pick one that works for you. Maybe send in pets, but overload on DOT's. You will pull aggro, but if you just run backwards, your pets get free hits and your DOT's have time to work. I mean run away, not run backwards slowly. Maybe you can load up on stam gear, like eagle or just stam, and try to tank the mobs yourself. Maybe you could really tag and back up really far (like 100 yards) and fear the mobs. I would be scared of that, if they bugged out and went through the floor or a wall and pulled 2/3 of an instance, that would suck. Plus having to backup that far each time would really slow you down. Maybe try 4 afflictions and just drain tank them. Not bad, just mob will hit VERY hard on cloth. Tanking in mail for a shammy or hunter isn't so bad, but in cloth, it really sucks. I imagine people bring along a healer to do resses and normal healing. If you do that, you could bring along a tank and then you don't have your initial design anymore. It is up to you, do what you had the idea of, or give up and do what is easy.

Ebola runs 5x locks (or used to before he did his druids and hunters). Mudd does, too. Think there's one other but I can't recall the names.

i run with 5 warlocks.
4x64 & 1x70.
They're all destruction (for instances)

I occasionally take them into AV for a little fun. Things die real fast. But they can't take a hit.

I don't see them being too successful in 5v5 arena without heals.

my Drugs just made 20 last night. I tried my best to handle Shadow fang keep. I havent got the instant thing down well. But when it comes to normal grinding I have it own pact. I run 1 Void 4 Succu. Wow those ladys cut thru the beasties.

Im not much for boosting but I do have a 70 Full decked Prot pally. Doing the SM instance resets sounds like it will be a good thing.

All of you have breath new life into me about running 5 Locks maybe I need to tweak my Macros some. Perhaps you lock runners could share them . I have a couple Cast seqence ones I run out of keys soo fast.

As for 5x5 I kinda agree with you guys that its not likley to go well but for Standard BG and I have a healing friend with me I think it would be great.

Funny too I have already ran into haters on boxing on IceCrown server. But Im being professional refering to the website before making accusations. I also run help people who are happy with my dps Example with KnuckleRot and Luzan elites in Ghostlands. I get lots of praise for cutting those down in 20 secs

Remember that life will get MUCH easier for you once you get a few things:

• siphon life = free heals
• +dmg gear = drain life starts doing something worthwhile (especially with drain-tank talents)
• soul link = WIN
• lifetap + dark pact = pretty much unlimited mana :P

Yes yes , Already have a 70 lock on the same account Im leving .. another lock. Makes me wonder if I should just switch one of the 5 and use the 70 to move all the way thru things. What do you think



Taking a 1 70 and 4 x 20's think the xp penalty would be too big?

With 4 20s, you can always do the out-of-group pet-assist thing. Should work great for questing.
