I got very lucky as well.

When I leveled my Shaman quad + Druid, I only recall being ganked once, by a hunter. I did far more then my share of the ganking while in STV

I only went there at lvl 32 to do the majority of the kill Tigers, Panthers and Raptors quest lines, then returned at ~38 to do the Elites along those quest chains and some bandit quest chains.

Mostly SM and Repeated Uldaman runs for quests from 29 - 42ish.
