Default Questions about Eurocom & WoW..

Previously registered on this forum as ilililil and I hangout in the IRC chat so I know a bunch of you..

    However,

Im looking to purchase a new laptop for multiboxing (please do not even begin to think about lecutring me on Desktop and Laptop performance). I have picked out a nice model by a company called "Eurocom".

Just wondering if anyone has had any bad experience with them before?

Also, would 5 boxing on WoW benefit more from more CPU speed or Graphics Processing Unit? For example, would it be worth sacrificing 512mb (1gb SLI was original idea) of GPU for a much faster processor?

Here are a list of processors I can choose from:

    Intel Core 2 Quad Processor Q6600 - 2.4ghz, 1066mhz FSB, 8m L2 cache, LGA775, 65nm, 95W
    Intel Quad Core 2 Processor Q6700 - 2.66ghz, 1066mhz FSB, 8m L2 cache, LGA775, 65nm, 95W
    Intel Quad Core 2 Processor Q9300 - 2.5ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 6m L2 cache, LGA775, PENRYN 45nm, 95W
    Intel Quad Core 2 Processor Q9450 - 2.66ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 12m L2 cache, LGA775, PENRYN 45nm, 95W
    Intel Quad Core 2 Processor Q9550 - 2.83ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 12m L2 cache, LGA775, PENRYN 45nm, 95W
    Intel XEON Quad Core Processor X3360 - 2.83ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 12m L2 cache, LGA775, 45nm, 95W
    Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor x6800, 2.93ghz, 1066mhz FSB, 12m L2 cache, LGA775, 75W
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8400, 3.0ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 6m L2 cache, LGA775, PENRYN 45nm, 95W
    Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E8500, 3.16ghz, 1333mhz FSB, 6m L2 cache, LGA775, PENRYN 45nm, 95W
    Here is a combination of graphics cards too;

    512mb Nvidia GeForce Go 8700GT, 16 x PCIe, Dx10, Modular VGA
    512mb DDR3, Nvidia GeForce Go 8800M GTX, 16 x PCIe, Dx10, Modular VGA, D06
    512mb GDDR3, Nvidia Quadro FX 1600, OpenGL, Dx10, 16 x PCIe
    512mb GDDR3, Nvidia GeForce Go 7950GTX, 16x PCI Express, MXM-HE
    SLI, 1gb Video, 2 x 512mb DDR3 Nvidia GeForce Go 8800M GTX, Dx10, 16 x PCIe, D90xCD06
    SLI, 1gb Video, 2 x 512mb GDDR3 Nvidia GeForce Go 8700GT, Dx10, 16 x PCIe
    SLI, 1gb Video, 2 x 512mb GDDR3, Nvidia GeForce Go 7950GTX, 16 x PCIe, Modular VGA
    512mb GDDR3, Nvidia Quadro FX 3600M, OpenGL, 16 x PCIe
I guess I should go for the Intel Xeon quad core right with the dual 8800M GTX?

Im not really a hardware guy so I need some guidance. I might just say fuck it and make packed lunch for work every day for two months and get both.

I already have half the money saved but ideally would like this before Christmas, I have sent an email to Eurocom asking for a time frame of delivery.

p.s. If I could get a gaming pc, I would. Unfortunately I already have a PC (which isnt mine) and a NAS box (which is mine) in my house and no space for another PC unless I decided to convert the bathroom and tell everyone to piss in the sink.

I would not recommend Xeon processor. Its architecture doesn't really benefit games.

CPU speed is not a big issue with multiboxing, the number of cores is the main concern. Personally I would choose the cheapest quad core CPU available - they are all fast enough.
For GPU I recommend a single card. Do not go for SLI - it's just expensive, complicated and may cause system problems. Get one really fast GPU. Single 8800M will probably be great.

Edit: Do not go for Quadro cards either. Like the Xeon it's just expensive "workstation" semi-vaporware stuff made for business people who think they need it in their workstations. Go entirely for mainstream gaming hardware - that's where you get high bang per buck.

Ok, So the 2.83ghz QCore will be sufficient?

I might have to buy a slab of rock to stop it burning my legs too..

    Get on it!

Anyway, anything bigger than a Q6600 and the best gaming video card you can get a laptop with serve you fine. You can check Dell's web site for the Warcraft laptop and use it's specs as a baseline. Some people (not I) are 5 boxing on it with an external monitor. (1+4 setups)
