Sounds like an obscure question I know but I just want to get some reliable opinions before I purchase one :P

I'm running my 5 class pve setup on my XPS M1530, whitout any problems....
(2x2,4GHZ,4 GB RAM, 8600M GT)
of course shat is a little bit lagging and bgs or arenas i also wouldn't recommend (but i'm only 55 so I'm simply guessing...)
OLIPCS - ordinary life is pretty complex stuff

To clear things up theres no doubt that it won't handle five just wanted to see what kinda fps I'm looking at. And as for my current laptop 'fine' is a relative termI can't get over 15fps, ever and I get heaps of critical errors when porting all five people to Shat in one go lol. Think I'm mostly held back by processor/vid card atm 128mb x600/p4 3.0ghz. Anyway thanks for the info guys

I quad on my M1730/2.4 GHz Core 2 Du/8700M GT/2GB with maxfps 60/maxfpsbk 20 and pretty much everything minimized. The slowdown isn't the graphics card or the processor so much as the hard drive. I've got a 500 GB 5200rpm drive in there with the WoW\Data directory symbolic linked and it takes ~4 minutes to load up all the accounts, and ~30-60 seconds every time they zone. Not sure what else I can do. i've got a 4GB SD card set up on ReadyBoost, and I've got 4GB of CAS 4 RAM coming from NewEgg this week. I'm thinking of setting up two accounts on my first drive and 2 accounts on my second drive. Maybe that'll alleviate some of the load times. I'll see what the RAM upgrade will do first. I really need to get 5 accounts up and running on this, but KeyClone Maximizer PiP is already microscopic. Adding a 5th window... I dunno... XD
5200rmp, ouch and I thought 7200 hurt :P
Double post omg! Anyway I put the order in just nowit was mostly hassle free till I got to the transfer money part ($2000 limit!) but that was fixed up pretty quickly. The guy that helped me out was pretty cool as well so now we play the waiting game

ReadyBoost??????? Are you kidding?
I have the M1730 WoW Ed, but I really don't think ReadyBoost helps at all... well, I've never tried it yet, since the Flash cards, you can buy out there, usually aren't the fastest ones... and they definitely will wear out rather fast, if you use all of your RAM + the SD card. Flash drives/cards unfortunately have a limited number of write accesses.
I'd rather stick with more RAM, but that's my opinion.
However, it really sux that DELL only delivers Vista x86 and not x64, since that CPU definitely can manage x64 and the x86 only makes three gigs of RAM available out of the four I got.. booo! :cursing: .
About Boxing WoW:
I used to three-box on there without many problems. When I had to reinstall my OS I used updated vid drivers for the 8700M GT. The new drivers f-ing sux; my WoW, by doing simple tasks, like opening all my bags, freezes regularly/randomly for about 20 secs, then runs like nothing happened. Also the drivers kept crashing regularly, too. So I went back to single-boxing on that one, but it still got the exact same issues. :cursing: :cursing: :cursing: :cursing:
Now, after I read the Win Vista thread, I'm thinking about re-installing Vista again, but the x64 version this time, so I finally can use my 4 gigs of RAM, I wanted to use. And hopefully, nVidia updates their vid drivers for the 8700M GT to non-beta drivers some day, so I can play WoW w/o god-damn interruptions.... this especially sux, if you are in a dungeon and even more, if your main is on that Laptop... <tries to find words to express the anger...*failure*>
Well, to put it mildly: It's just annoying as hell...
Ok, indeed, the window size might be a little tiny to play five WoWs on the 17" screen (1920×1200). I already thought, that the two additional windows next to my main were rather small; I had huge troubles reading the text in the chat frames. (WoW1: 1280×1024, WoW2 & 3: 640×512)
im done trying to post this thing bugged out 3 times. I run a dell xps 1730 fully loaded to the MAX I have all the upgrades PM me if you have questions not going to type that up again.
