[WoW] Four boxing help

I just added a 4th account having 3-boxed for a while. Still working on getting my first team of priest+2 warlocks to 70 (60 right now). Trying to decide what class I want to level up to 70 on the 4th account.

How far can a team of 4 70's expect to get in non-heroic Outland dungeons? Do I need a tank? Could a team of 4 70-level clothies take on lowly non-heroic Ramparts? How far could I get through the progression of dungeons before either I need a tank or I need a 5th toon? Will Felguards be able to tank worth a hoot or are they going to be eaten alive?

For that matter, how far can 4 70-level clothies get in the old 60-level 10 man dungeons?

Just trying to plan what to do on that 4th account. Four is as far as I'm willing to go right now. Maybe I'll add a 5th next year as it will be time to upgrade equipment.

you better take some kind of tank, I suggest druid since he can transform to ranged dps ;p

To answer your question about 70 squishies in old-world 60s instances, I took a team of 4 level 70 PoM/Pyro arcane/fire mages into strat and wiped the place out. No healer or rezzer, either. Now, that was ideal because I could bubble and then dump massive DPS on 'em, which meant that most stuff in there died before it ever touched me. The only boss in there that got close was the last boss in live side. The Baron died before he got any of my guys down to half health.

I was going to say you'd have a tougher time without the huge burst DPS of the mages but with your pets tanking that will give you time to start stacking up DoTs. At 70, your felguards will be great tanks against those 60 dungeons. Caster bosses will be more of a problem but with Curse of Tongues, you should be golden.

As for the Outlands instances, I've done Ramparts, Blood Furnace and Underbog. A 70 shadow priest solo'd ramparts, so I know you'll be good there. (see http://youtube.com/watch?v=s_kSMybNlLA and this 3-man ramparts run at 61: http://youtube.com/watch?v=d-2pcWuVFKo ) Blood Furnace might give you a rough time of it on that last boss where he opens all the jail doors (long, mana-conservation fight). Underbog is where I'd expect you would run into issues. Granted, I haven't done it at 70 but the bog lords in there hit HARD on tanks, and the bosses do some pretty serious AoE/cone damage (much more difficult than the Ramparts boss and his dragon).

Gimme another month or so and I'll let ya know how it works with all squishy groups with some pets.

Thanks for the advice. I'm leaning towards making a 3rd Warlock and when I run out of steam and need a tank, I'll call in help from my RL guild

For those who box with multiple Warlocks, how have you been speccing them? Do you keep them all at the same spec for simplicity or have different specs for variety?

I prefer 4 affliction locks with same spec not because it is simple but because crapload of powerful DoTs rock the party
