I had that problem, too - but it's not a hardware problem - so I went away from the buttons '1' thru '='. I am using the F buttons, which is much easier: you can use Shift, CTRL, (ALT), Shift+CTRL...... etc.. (try to avoid [Shift+]ALT+F4... not good)
It's kind of a weird phenomenon: on my main, I say something like "HEY!" and on my clones (using three computers) this is what is being typed: "hey1". I actually have no clue, why the Shift button is not being transmitted as it should be. I use KeyClone and Multiplicity, and I don't think it's Multiplicity, since it does not transmit any key, while not on that computer... I tested putting in text with three Notepads, and the very first time, I try to use any upper case letter, it still is being typed as a lower case one.... <shrugs> Who knows why... Wait.. I know! KeyClone (Rob) might have an answer to that!
But when putting in Passwords, it sux the most actually...
