the monitor got a better solution for MB then the tv, but with the tv you can buy enough beer for a weekend

Imho: The bigger the better!
But what layout or resolutions should your 4 clients have on the screen?

Main at 1440x1080
Three clones at 480x360 down the edge
Seems like that'd work quite nicely on the TV.
Outland EU - Orc Shamans: Toth[aeiou]
Al'Akir EU - Night Elf Hunters: Venatrix[aeiou]
Core i7 920 - Intel DX58SO board - 6GB Corsair DDR3-1333 - GeForce GTX285 1GB - 2x Dell 2407FPW LCD
Windows 7 Ultimate RC 64-bit - Keyclone
/agree me and buddy actually hooked up his computer to his flat screen television and the resolution was crap while playing WOW ...the monitor got a better solution for MB then the tv, but with the tv you can buy enough beer for a weekend

Exactly. Even with a 1080p TV, you're going to have to sit far away to have a clear picture, and the alt windows are going to be small. Stick with the 1920x1200 24" monitors - I don't regret using them at all.Originally Posted by 'Marathon',index.php?page=Thread&postID=87454#post 87454
Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
Currently playing:
Akama [Empire of Orlando]
Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.
Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

I'm playing my main on a 40" 1080p lcd tv from >>[url='http://www.samsung.com/uk/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=television&type=television&subtype =tftlcd&model_cd=LE40F86BDX/XEU']Samsung[/url] <<
I'm lovin it! And I had 19", 20", 22" and 24" displays.
Most fun I have with the 40". Looking totally gorgeous.
(Here's a (bad) picture of my setup.)
I'm not sitting farther away to have a clear picture. It's just because I'm now able to play from the sofa!you're going to have to sit far away to have a clear picture, and the alt windows are going to be small.![]()
And btw. you always have the option in the graphics menu to increase/decrease the ui size.
As already mentioned before: the bigger the better imo, but make sure you are able to display your wow client layout without any interlacing/streching/skewing!

I disagree too. The quality of the monitor varies from brand to brand.
I use a 47" 1080p LCD TV for games & have a 22" 1920x1200 LCD monitor for work. There isn't any major difference in quality if you have two good products.
What you really have to consider is where you will be sitting.
- If your playing at a desk and will be on top of it, then the computer monitor will probably be better.
- If you like to sit back further and use a wireless keyboard, the TV is really nice. ( If it has all the proper HD inputs, it can be more versatile.)
Also consider, what else you plan on using it for.
- Only games? probably the smaller monitor.
- TV & Movies? probably the TV.
If you can. Go to Best Buy or where ever and take a look at both.
This is the ONLY thing that will give you a good idea of which is better for you.

Sorry to get somewhat off topic but what kind of cord would I need to hook up a computer to a HD tv? I have a 30something inch tv in my room, and I always wanted to play wow on it. Also is it possible with a laptop?
