Default Couple questions/concerns.. hoping to find out now to avoid a possible ban

Hey everyone I've got a few questions/concerns I have regarding my multiboxing. I'm hoping people here have some experience or advice they can give to help out. Hopefully I posted this in the right thread section, lol.
Ok a bit of background. I play WoW with my fiance. This is a hobby for us, definitely alot cheaper then going out to movies, dinners, drinks, etc. We've been playing for around a year and half now and both of us have tier 6 geared mains who we raid on in a BT/Hyjal clearing guild thats just downed the first boss in Sunwell. We both have multiple accounts each in our own names(He has 2, I just got a 3rd account. I ran into a person running 3 shamans in a bg and decided to try out multiboxing. I made 3 shamans-2 on my accounts and then 1 on my fiances account. I was hooked on mutliboxing fast..but sadly I didn't really think at the time about it not being allowed and as soon as it hit me, I promptly stopped playing them and purchased a 3rd account and made a new shaman on it. I wish I had done more research at the time so I didn't make that mistake

I leveled my shamans to 35 and my fiance decided to start running with me on his pally who was around the same level. We are now thinking of adding a 5th using his 2nd account in his name.

So my questions to make it simple
    1. Can we get banned for running together as a group on our 5 accounts since they are different names on the accounts? It will always be him controlling his 2 accounts and me on my 3. Im not 100% sure how Blizzard tells or if they just ban first and not look into it. We are on the same IP address since we live together.

    2. Would it cause problems with him using the shaman I created on his 2nd account to begin with? I leveled it with the 2 shamans on my accounts. I used keyclone with them when I leveled, and I remember reading that Blizz looks for the keypresses being sent between accounts in different names. From now on, it would always been him controlling it at the same time as his pally.

    3. If him using the shaman I made could get us in trouble, is it possible for him to make another character and level it up, or transfer 1 from his main account? Not sure if my slight blonde moment with using his account has basically tainted it for us to use multiboxing or not.

    4. Would if be better to either just not use his 2nd account at all and just run with a 4 group?

I am wanting to find out before we start spending time leveling them. I don't want to do anything that could risk us getting banned.. we've spent way to much time on our main characters for that to happen, lol. I love multiboxing, but not at the risk of losing my toons I've been working on for a year and half now. I know I made a huge mistake using his in the first place, I wish I had taken the time to do more research before I just jumped in and started. So I'm trying to take time now to make sure I understand everything before we continue.

Thanks for reading my wall of text, lol. Look forward to some replies and hopefully I'll be able to be a bit more clear and not so worried about getting banned

Haha yes, that was a building of text ^^ I'm pretty new to multi-boxing myself but I will give a go at some of your questions.

    1. Thats a tricky one, that could go either way. But I'm gunna say I think you would be at risk. Not 100% though.

    2. If question 1 isn't a problem then as far as I know he is fine to play the shaman, because blizz doesn't check into it, unless you get reported. In which case you would not both get reported, so when checked by blizz you would both have all your chars on accounts with the same names.

    3. Yes, as I said in 2, I don't think it would danger him to play the shaman you started, so him starting a new char should be fine.

    4. If I were you I would use the 5th account, I think its safe.

I hope that helped somewhat, sorry I'm not 100% on any of the questions inch:
    oup?

If you haven't been banned yet and you no longer share any of the accounts between you, you should be fine. Item 1 is definitely fine. Just because you multibox from the same home is not a violation. Note that they CAN tell when you're running them in "multibox mode" so do not fall prey to the temptation to do it ever again. I wouldn't worry about that one shammy on his account if nothing has been done yet and you don't plan on sharing it again.

I suppose it is possible that they could ban you by mistake for being used on the same IP but they're familiar enough with family households that have multiple players on the same house LAN that they can spot when someone is doing it within the ToU and when not.

Worst case, go ahead and report yourself from the 2nd shammy account you referenced in point #2 and verify that having two multiboxers on those 5 accounts from the same household is OK. That will get them to go look into the information/data that they have and verify it's all in good order ("Papers, please!" LOL). Then, after they've confirmed things, you can rest easy.

If you're not breaking the rules, you should not get banned.

That being said, GMs are human and they do sometimes make mistakes -- if in doubt, ticket yourself. From what I understand, they keep a record of information and if you readily admit that you and your fiance are playing from the same IP and NOT account sharing then they will have record of that when they do their investigation.

If you were account sharing, then you were account sharing. I can't really say whether or not you will get actioned for this or if Blizzard will be forgiving, because that is up to them. At the very worst, they will see it as a form of "powerleveling" and may, at best, remove the "benefit" he gained. At worst? Banned account.

It's up to you whether you want to live with the consequences of your actions or start over from scratch.

If he wants to transfer a character from an account that hasn't broken the rules, to another account that hasn't broken the rules, it would be perfectly fine for him to do so. Account actions are precisely that -- per account. If you messed up and got banned on one account, creating a new account essentially gives you a "fresh slate".

Benefiting in any way from account sharing would indeed "taint" the account -- i.e. if you break the rules, you cannot undo the fact that you broke the rules.

It depends -- "better" is in the eye of the beholder.

Here are the potential consequences for keeping the account:
    1) Nothing happens or Blizzard is lenient and gives a temporary ban
    2) Blizzard permanently bans the account
    3) Blizzard waits until your characters are higher in level/better gear and then bans the account

Do you, in your opinion, find those consequences better than starting a new account from scratch? Which comes with the consequences of:
    1) Having to re-level a character

It's personal preference -- either deal with the consequences of your actions or start over.
