Just a thought about some of the negative comments to n00b posts. I'm not judging here, just trying to help make the forums an overall positive experience.

My suggestion is to just ignore these types of questions. This will force the user to find his or her own information. And, if there are people in the community that are willing to help and answer the same question 50 times, then I say let them. Bottom line is I don't think anything is gained from some of the comments (even if they had it coming!). They obviously don't read the entire forum, so they aren't going to see how people react to such questions.

If they posted these threads in the New User forum to start with I totally agree. The problem is, these types of posts (and this one in particular) start off getting posted in general which clearly states it isn't for help/support and then get moved here when a mod sees them...the posts pointing out the thread is in the wrong spot always stop once that happens
