Fallout 3 has been officially banned in australia due to the "chems" in the game.

This follows on the heals of GTA4 and Dark Sector being refused classification initially and having to be edited. I don't get how they don't understand that people that want it will still get it, but in ways that provide no economic benefit to the country or the game developer, it just boggles my mind.

People wonder why I want to move to the US...I get to show them things like this, and they get to still not understand. Oh well.

I've seen more games banned in AU than NZ. And the odd game that was banned here I ordered from the US. I think the only people it stops from getting the game is ... well very few people. Anyone with access to the internet and/or friends can get hold of them.

In today's age a credit card + internet = anything you can afford! Oh... I think my courier just arrived, its a large crate from Taiwan 8o

EDIT: Just did a quick check, it has not yet been banned in NZ. Its more than likely shipping in NZ.

Although illicit, you really don't need your credit card.. unless they have some super online traffic guardians in Au, which I doubt

If people cant buy it, the will just download it... I give it 3 days to a week before its release and it will be on piratebay ready to download. Banning a game does nothing to protect the "youth" All it does is harm the economy where it was banned and the company that made it. Poor developers.. Loosing a whole country in sales.. :cursing:
