Banned :( and now unbanned! :)

ok.. so ONE of your accounts was banned? doesn't that strike you as a bit odd?

if you had an 'illegal 3rd party program'... why would they ban only one account? they wouldn't. they would ban ALL your accounts.

that leads you to wonder, what was wrong with that ONE account that would get it banned, and not the other accounts on the same machine? which i can only imagine would be that the account was under a different name.

but then, this does not jive with the reported reason.

so... either blizzard made a mistake and was suppose to ban all accounts, or the report itself is inaccurate

This is what I was thinking when I first read only one account was banned. Blizzard doesn't just accidentally ban an account. Other than some issues with Linux running Wow they seem to have fairly accurate detection methods. I'm sure as with anything there is room for mistakes, though. If I were you I would go over every aspect of the account that got banned including any logs you can look at to see if someone else may have broken into your account.

Plus it sounds like he plays these all on the same computer, which makes the fact that only 1 got banned somewhat strange.

Your only recourse is to reply to the email from Account Administration and pursue a dialog with them. That can take a while and it can certainly be frustrating, but it's your only avenue to contest their action. If you haven't violated any rules and explain your situation to them, it's likely that they'll reverse the ban.

Damn bad luck there, hopefully you will get your account back.. 1 thing that I'm curious to know is this " i have a modified windows code" what does it means? =P and can it be related to this ban?

Hearing of these "random" bans scares me. I wonder if it is caused by new employees or employees that hate multi-boxers.

I use a N52 but I don't use any kind of macro's outside of WoW.

I've been multiboxing since WoW released, and I use not 1 but 2 N52's. Don't worry the cause was most likely unintentional or for the wrong reasons. This will get sorted.

Something doesn't wash...

If it was KeyClone, all 5 accounts would be banned.
If it was a KeyLogger and account exploits, all 5 accounts would be banned (Because hackers aren't going to just nab one).
If it was a keyboard macro like a G15 or Nostromo or X-Keys it would again affect all 5 accounts...

I'd say if what you are telling us is straight up, you'll get the account back and something happened to get this ban and was a mistake.
