I use my lock for boosting my team of four. Love it.
Done both: boosting in instances with SoC as well as pet assisting 'ungrouped" while they quest.

I'm figuring it will be a challenge to efficiently handle all the succy charm/spell lock/devour magic, fear, howl, and deathcoil. XD
While I have no personal experience, I wanted to do a lock team. But I would do 4x locks, 1x priest. Why?
- Wipe control (no corpse running). Just soulstone the priest and you can wipe 4x and never corpse run.
- Priest as healer, infinite mana. Mana isn't usually a problem anyway with multiboxers, but it would be even less so with this setup.
- Priest as healer, increased survivability in BGs (and PvE too)
- Priest a DPS, increased shadow damage buff... +10% damage to a target.
- Buffs... if your warlocks talent demonic embrace they'll get +908 hp from max level fort.
There's more for sure, but it seems to me a priest would be a perfect addition to a warlock team.

4x Hunters + Shaman || 4x Warlocks + Priest

I won't speak for everyone, but having no heals would make me a sad panda.
No matter where you go, there you are.
Throw in a priest or two. If you want heals, you got em. Or if you want more dps, spec them shadow with shadow weaving and misery for 15% more damage for the whole party, plus free group heals.
