Default DDoS threat against dual-boxing.com in Multiboxing QQ thread

Anyone else see this? If by chance this site does get DDoS's might want to make note of this person that posted. The people he refers to are evil ones and do this kind of thing so I imagine it isn't just an empty threat. I reported the thread to blizzard and perhaps others should as well.

DDOS attacks are against Federal Law. Ellay, if I were you, I would do the following, to protect yourself:

Contact the GMs in the CSF forums and see who to talk to, regarding that poster. He needs to lose his posting rights permanently. Even if he's just running his mouth, and I suspect he is, it's still illegal to make threats like that.

Take screenshots of that post, and send them with some background info to your hosting company, so they're aware.

IF there's a DDOS attack, then the hosting company and Blizzard can file accessory charges against the person who posted that.

I'm all for flame wars, but when you start making real world posts, then you need to be shown the error of your ways in a very real, harsh way, like the Feds showing up at your door early in the morning with a subpeona for your hard drive, and nice shiny handcuffs.

It's probably hot air from some antisocial teenager who idolizes the group he mentioned, but, you never know. I have ZERO tolerance for threats, in real life, and online. You want to start throwing the word lawyer around, fine, here's the number for mine. In my line of work, I've had to use lawyers many times to protect my interests, and I havent lost yet. Call to cops? Here's my cell phone, call 'em.

Going to threaten a DDOS attack? Go for it, and then enjoy your stay at Club Fed - I hope it was worth it!

The irony - Multiboxers are terrible cheats.

So let's break the law to stop them.

    Wiki
A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a computer resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of the concerted, malevolent efforts of a person or persons to prevent an Internet site or service from functioning efficiently or at all, temporarily or indefinitely.
Perpetrators of DoS attacks typically target sites or services hosted on high-profile web servers such as banks, credit card payment gateways, and even DNS root servers.
One common method of attack involves saturating the target (victim) machine with external communications requests, such that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or responds so slowly as to be rendered effectively unavailable. In general terms, DoS attacks are implemented by either forcing the targeted computer(s) to reset, or consume its resources so that it can no longer provide its intended service or obstructing the communication media between the intended users and the victim so that they can no longer communicate adequately.
Denial-of-service attacks are considered violations of the IAB's Internet proper use policy. They also commonly constitute violations of the laws of individual nations.[1]

myg0t. Haven't thought of them in awhile. Douchebag hacker group that destroys multiplayer games by widely distributing cheats - especially in FPS games of the past..
It's probably an empty threat and this idiot has no connection with them at all, but it's a threat worth making this guy suffer for.
    Ex-WoW 5-boxer.
    Currently playing:
    Akama [Empire of Orlando]
    Zandantilus - 85 Shaman, Teebow - 85 Paladin, Kodex - 85 Rogue.

Definitely going to 4-box Diablo 3 after testing the beta for how well this would work.

I have to give the OP credit in that thread. He was better than most anti-multiboxing rants. I don't think he deserved the flames he got (although, I could only stomach to page 4 or so).

Anti-multiboxers are certainly entitled to their opinion and he recognized that boxing is legal, actually wrote coherent paragraphs and tried to offer some middle ground solutions. MUCH better than most. Even if I disagree.

Exactly - what do you think the odds are of a continuing successful WoW career if he has to explain to Mommy and Daddy why their internet account was closed, and the Feds were at the door wanting to take their son and his computers - and possibly theirs - away?

Or getting to find a new apartment when the landlords throw him out because they don't want tenants who have the Feds showing up?

What would be REALLY funny is if the mouthbreather posted from work - then he gets to sit down with his boss and explain why the IT department got a call from a Federal Agent asking who was posting from their IP. Oops!
