Thread: Voice control

It's amazing how quickly voice commands become ingrained.

I played on my desktop with the voice recognition on it, then went downstairs to the laptop.

I realised I should probably stop talking to the computer as it doesn't have the voice recognition software on it

Meathead, try the My Voice Controller program again, but be sure to install Microsoft .NET framework 3.5.

Like you, I was unable to get the My Voice Controller program to work under Vista 64bit, but I hadn't tried installing .NET 3.5 (I had assumed that Vista includd that version of .NET out of the box). But I though "What the hell, I'll install the .NET 3.5 and see what happens". I then launched My Voice Controller...No pop-up Error! I then opened Wordpad and said the word "Heal" and the number 4 appeared 8o (I double checked and confirmed that in the default configuration that "4" was, in fact, bound to the word "Heal").

Once I get it set up, I will try it out In-game. If I run into any issues with the program, I will update this post. Otherwise, it appears to be working.

You can get .NET framework 3.5 at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en

Also, get the most recent version of My Voice Controller (v1.8.11.11) at http://www.5hyphen.com/5hforum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=709 (the one on wowinterface is old (v1.8.8.7) but does still seems to work)

and you can find the online help files for My Voice Controller at http://www.5hyphen.com/5hforum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=723

    Hope that helps,

    Really neat stuff here.

I guess the only question is how do you hardware broadcast this? (I think the answer is you don't )
You don't. (easily at least not easily) But you can software broadcast it, it counts as a keypress so keyclone picks it up and handles it as if you typed on the keyboard.

Wire 1 mic through a distribution pre-amp into all pc's , then run the program on all of them?
