    Default castsequence question.

I've recently setup a bunch of new /castsequence macros and noticed that I'm getting back to spells (with longer cooldowns) a lot quicker than I "think" I should and it kills the macro waiting for the cooldown to refresh.
If I "spam" the macro button too quickly, will it actually skip over a spell to the next one without casting? I'm assuming I'm hitting the button while the global cooldown is refreshing.

if i understand you right than here are your answers

no, castsequence dont skip one cast if you spam the button.

if you want to maybe skip one cast. try castrandom or something with castsequence and modifier.

if you have another question or i didnīt understand you wright just tell me.

I think that answers my question.
I guess I need to add more normal-cast spells to the list to add more time before it gets back to the other spells with longer cooldowns. :P

are you using a reset in your castsequence? like: ( /castsequence reset=12 Frost Nova,,,, ) that will auto reset it when the CD is up. Just change the "12" to whatever your CD on that cast is.
(Currently beta-testing WoTLK... multiboxing on hold till expansion release)

Yes, I'm using a reset for the cooldown, but I think I didn't put enough "filler" spells in to enable it to keep casting the whole time.

So for example (this is what I "think" was wrong) if my cool down was 12 seconds, I only had about 8 seconds of filler spells, and then it would sit doing nothing because it would loop back to the spell that didn't finish it's cooldown.

I also noticed that if I stick Purge into the shaman's rotation and the target has nothing to dispell, it hangs there too until the reset.

    Hello,

you donīt understand the reset timer ... i think

reset=5 means .. if you 5 seconds donīt push the button ... then it reset ... nothing more / less

    if we think
    spell x has long cooldown
    spell y has short cooldown
    castsequence reset=number x,y,y
(time between kill of the first mob and beginn of attack the second mob ... i think a good number is 1 [i take normaly reset=target])
you spam the macro ... and you have the issue that you donīt cast for a while ... which means less dmg ... because you wait until the end of spell x cd .. then you have to insert more of the spell y

than maybe it should look like

    castsequenz reset=number y,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x

you can calculate the hole castsequence ..

    cd of spell y = maybe 12s

    then you have 12 = casttime of x + global cd + ... +casttime of x + global cd

ps if you want to add an dispell maybe you can try this (not tested)
    Macro:
    castsequence reset=target corruption, shadowbolt
    castrandom dispell, ,

the castrandom should try to sometime dispell and sometime do nothing ... or maybe just try to dispell like "/cast bla" .. but in castsequences you have to wait until there is no cooldown on the spell you wanna cast or you that you can cast it (like dispell) ....

i hope you can understand this .. because of my bad english
