I've been friended by about a dozen total strangers. Half of them check in on me at random times. Like in the middle of the ZF pyramid event.
I get almost the exact same comments. Most people either think it's really cool, or just a waste of time and money. I made the mistake of boosting some of them when I was trying to get some of my own characters evened out xp wise. I even "hired" a loot minion and she loots all the corpses for me so I don't have to bother, and we split the proceeds 50 50. Win win for me cause I get tired of looting/bag space management after a while, so even getting 50% is good. I made a few hundred gold off of Deadmines stuff. Of course I haven o way of knowing how much was actually earned, but it's good enough for me. I imagine it will only get better as I run higher and higher lvl instances.
