Wow, great post. I definitely have to agree on the collection quests, spiral stairs and lag spikes. I'm PvE through and through (even though I'm dying to get my hands into PvP, just haven't had the guts yet) and quested the whole way up, collection quests and all. The low drop rate ones sometimes took hours. The spiral stairs (esp those in Darnassus for me) piss me off unless I stop every couple steps to make sure my girls are following me. And the lag spikes! Just recently I get them with my pally's Crusader Aura on and I end up leaving one or two of them behind and have to go back and get them. I have quite a habit of looking at the other screen to make sure they're all following me but when I fail to do that and wonder why something isn't dying fast enough, I realize my two mages are left at the other end of the zone.

Rolled a set of Alliance toons recently and made a discovery which annoyed me greatly: If a Gnome is following a human (not tried with other mains) into the water then the Gnome will drown.

I know there's a lot of people who'd approve of Gnome drowning but having characters not only stop following but just randomly die isn't fun. I ended up lining up the entire lot on the beach, move backwards to remove follow, then hit Autorun on each char and 'Follow Main' when they hit the other side.

Just have a 2nd /follow key, specifically for water, where the group follows the smallest member of the party. Problem solved.
