The new G15

Has anyone seen the new G15? i knew logitech where making a new G-Series keyboard, and when i finally saw this...i can't belive it

They've actually taken the existing keyboard, and made it WORSE

They've removed 8 of the 12 G-Keys
They've embedded the LCD Display so you can't angle it to your liking
They've replaced the media keys and the volume control knob with crappy buttons.
They've changed the backlights to red
They still havn't fixed the fucking drivers so you can use the G-Keys as a joystick or as diffrent buttons that arn't actually on the keyboard

what on earth is this? is there something i'm missing? i feel like stabbing logitech in the face right now...so much dissapointment

So don't buy it.

and FYI... The original is the G15 Gaming keyboard, the new is just G15 Keyboard. It's possible that Logitech is leaving room in the lineup for a G1x Gaming Keyboard later.


The G11 is $50 at Target now. A good deal if you can do without the LCD. Same as the orginal G15 Gaming Keyboard minus the LCD.

Hehe, i own a G15 (Old model). I knew the new model was coming, and i was expecting it to be way cooler than the old model. I obviously don't intend to buy this model...its just so disapointing

they have a g15 gaming and a g15 standard, sounds like the standard your describing

Mine doesn't work like I wished it did...I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, or what. But I'll set up a G key to do auto heal (Alt+3), and then exit out of the G15 program. Then I'll load up WoW, and the G key...doesn't work.

For a while it would work, and now mysteriously, it doesn't work again.

make sure that the profile activated when you load the game.
it will show you on the LCD display that it gets activates.

When you say "exit out of the G15 program", do you mean close the window or actually unload the driver?

Assuming it's the first, you should know that loading WoW will switch your key-settings to a set made for just WoW - with the default settings, at least - so you gotta alt+tab out and set up some keys while it's running, or choose your WoW profile before starting the game, or just use the quick-macro system while in-game (running via the LCD display).

Exit out of the program. And in the program, it's the WoW key settings I'm changing. And when I load up WoW, on the LCD it will pop up the "World of Warcraft" and then display all my stats and everything. And I have no idea how to use the quick-macro system while in game...

Like I said, for a while there it was working fine, with just the one G key I was using. But then I went in and tried to set another key, and all of a sudden the auto heal G key I was using stopped working.

I'll try it again tonight and see if it works.

The new G15 is intended to replace the old G15, if you don't belive me. Check out logitechs website. The old G15 has been removed from existance. You can't even download the drivers anymore.

Theres a profile box in the config screen. Your probably editing "Default Profile" you need to change it to WoW

Nope, it's the WoW profile.

And back on topic, has anyone ever had a keyboard with a red backlit keys? To me that just sounds horrible. I like my faint blue.
