After several attempts on this I finally buckled down and tweaked my Shaman earth shock macro to just hit Julianne. Before I was trying to hurry up and click on her then shock, but with the lag associated with /cast [target=focustarget] it just wasn't getting the job done. Plus my Shamans kept running outta mana, even with potions. I had to bust out 4 fire elementals to pull this one off.

Cleared to The Curator, but it was too late to try more than a couple times. I'm having DPS issues due to gear and spec. I was too lazy to take my shamans outta their PVP 40/21 spec and into 41/20.

Bought a new PC yesterday and went directly to Karazhan after it was setup. Although the guy that came over to install the stuff couldn't get them networked. I think he had 0 experience using Vista, and he just gave up after4 hours. It was 11pm so I don't blame him, but it's irritating because I can't install Synergy/Kavoom.

My two 5 boxing PCs are more or less the same.

q6600 2.4 ghz
8800 GT Video Card
7200 RPM Hard drive
8 gig DDR800 Ram

One computer has a 19" that I use to control my main and a 22" in with 4 alts. The other PC only has one 22" where I put 4 clients up with Keyclone maximizer and the 5th client i just open windowed and stick it on top of them in the middle. I have no deskspace for a 4th monitor.

Props as well for doing this running two machines independently. I was back to db'ing two toons with seperate keyboards etc last night and that was a bit hectic when it all kicked off, so with 10 ...

You intending on controlling all 10 from one set of keyboard macros?

As soon as I successfully get the computers networked I'll install Synergy or Kavoom. I'm leaning toward Kavoom because it will probably be easier to setup. Any one use Kavoom before to control two machines with one keyboard and mouse?

I'm so glad I didn't get the big bad wolf opera event. It's hard using two keyboards/mice to control the 2nd group of toons. On the two big guardians before the elemntal/wyrm packs at the top of the tower going to the Curator, I had a hell of a time finding out who had the debuff and moving that toon, so I ended up just ignoring it and healing through it. I couldn't imagine trying to do the big bad wolf with 10 characters.

My x-keys pro and x-keys foot pedal just arrived a few minutes ago, so i'll need to set all my toons up again when i'm ready to use them. I'll probably wait until after the server resets because I really wanna push through Kara.

Let me know how it goes with this combo, and if the pedal is worth the price. I've been seriously considering it - there's only so many buttons available without a quick finger reach, so it'd be nice to have a pedal for either shift/alt/ctrl modifier or as panic button macros.

This feat of 10-boxing Kara is badass. Some encounters are going to be very difficult due to positioning though. Shade and Prince come to mind..

Man, that has got to be fun though.. I was starting to think I may be crazy dishing out $75/mo for 5.. I can't believe I'm actually starting to consider trying 10 for $150/mo. Like others have said.. there are more expensive hobbies on a monthly basis.. racing cars and oil painting comes to mind.

Any one use Kavoom before to control two machines with one keyboard and mouse?

I use KeyClone and KavoomKM with my humble 5-boxing (1+4) on 2 PCs.
I'm only using it for simple stuff like looting quest items, choosing flight destinations etc, I still use KeyClone to "play"

Kavoom is fantastic... simply move mouse off the right hand side of PC1 and the keyboard+mouse "move" over to PC2, completely seemlessly and with no lag on the other PC.
You can use hotkeys to switch but I've not bothered with that, myself.

If you've not tried it before, you can just install it and get about 30m of use before it times out requiring purchase, although you can just fire it up again to have another 30m... but I bought it as soon as it timed out the first time.

And you can add further PCs if you expand your empire
