First week in Arena

So I hit 70 on Saturday and respecced on Sunday for my new grind in PvP. My best friend who plays a holy pally asked if I wanted to give arena a shot and just at least grab some points. I'm thinking to myelf that we are going to get murdered in there, but he said the hell with it and let's do it. I only have a little over 300 spell damage, 6.5k health and 100 resilience. So we watch Ellay's video (hell of a confidence booster) and grab some pointers and jump on in. First game we win rather quickly. We were both like, "Holy Shit!!" So we pop in again and faced a team with Gladiator titles and got waxed. So we go back in some more and at the end of it all, we ended at 5 Wins - 8 Losses and a 1449 Rating.

All I can think is man if we won 5 games with me still in greens and blues, I cant wait to see what its like when I finish up my PvP grind and get my season 2 gear while collecting Arena Points. Just figured I share my first time in Arenas. Its a hell of a time and rush and cant wait for the weeks to come!

Well you certainly did a lot better then I when I first got into arena in greens and blues. My first week was 1-9, second week was 2-8 win-loss, haha.

Seriously, I don't know how Ellay does it - mad props. All I do is get my 10 games in for free epics and GTFO now. Maybe its my server and/or rating bracket but I get all kinds of wierd... for example, the last team I had the pleasure of going up against... a warrior charges at my shammy group right at the start, so I proceeded to home run him out of the arena. At that very moment, 4 rogues unstealthed and proceeded stuff my face into a blender. Good times, good times.

LOL, that sounds like how I run arena. Face first into the sharp end of the opposing team.

If you see the war charging, you know you want tremor totems down.

And if you see none of the enemies other than the war, you know you have stealthers. Which means magma totem. They shouldn't be able to get the jump on you if you have them spread out. First rogue that gets snared by the magma, alpha strike em, throw down some fire novas, chain heal, then pick em off one by one.
